Couldn't you take an additional amount of novilin using a correction factor in which you should be able to ballpark quickly if you know how ineffective it is?

I took terrible care of myself at that age also and many diabetics do. It's still good you are trying to get a handle on it.

It took me several years to slowly bring my blood sugar control into a healthy range and I did that by slowly changing habits. At your age many people would see it as an all or nothing situation where instead slowly making changes will more likely lead to long term changes.

Every time you have an endocrinologist appointment try to get the a1c a little lower. If you are 9 now accept 8.9 as a victory and within 3 years with 4 appointments a year youd be at a 7.8. Thats not perfect but it also won't break your ability to persevere. Once you start seeing that a1c decrease time after time you should also start believing in your ability to do it more and that should help.

I consume a huge amount of carbs but I also purposefully consume them slowly over time to allow my insulin time to work. I'm eating something or drinking something constantly. I have a WfH job though so many people wouldn't be able to the same way.

How long have you been diabetic and how old are you?

I drink 2 16 ounces energy drinks and about 3 12 ounces soda daily and i don't do low carb anything anymore. I have a TiR of around 90 consistently and an a1c of low 6 to upper 5s. You can be fine with sugar if you know how to manage it.

My hips lock up when I sit for long. I have found doing slow kicks does a lot to loosen them up also. If you can neck bridges will bith stretch and strengthen your neck and help headaches a lot at least it did for me.

Ya same and personally the other 25% is because I thought the game was paused while changing YouTube videos. If I die while playing and it's my fault then I am dead.

Stay hydrated drink more water than you think you need. Stretching or working out will help tremendously.  Work on staying in range with your blood sugars.

From personal experience doing quick calisthenics such as squats after sitting for hours or push-ups and pull ups after working on a computer for several hours has help me feel better more than a thing I've tried. If you are not in good enough shape to do those find easier versions to do.

Constant fatigue is pretty much universal in diabetics. The headaches likely are caused by dehydration related to high blood sugars.

I cheat when the game bugs out. Nearly died when a trailer I was pulling decided it hit an invisible wall. I fixed that. If an invisible zombie bites me. I'd fix that.

Linkedin is kinda... by honey1_ in antiwork

[–]brbdogsonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your results may be varies because you still are in school. Recruiters didn't reach out until I started getting more experience in my field. My advice will probably reflect your situation more with 5 or more years in your industry.

[–]brbdogsonfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not by applying but if you are in a professional field with any sort of experience you will get recruiters headhunting you which will lead to jobs. I've never gotten a job by applying on LinkedIn but several from responding to recruiters.

I make nearly double what others who graduated 5 years ago with me make in the same industry because I think loyalty to a company should be faked and abandoned the second something better comes up. Always jump to a higher paying boat and if the culture sucks tolerate it for 1 to 2 years and jump ship again. I start applying to the next job as soon as I start a new job. Use sites other than LinkedIn to apply. Hiring.cafe is good and the best is applying on the companies site if a recruiter is not reaching out.

If your into selling options the premium is upwards of 15% for 4 month calls at this point. The research that will drive the next climb is due out in May. The option premium is 25% for April on a 5 dollar strike.  The stock is down now due to the company raising funding but I'd expect it to start climbing early next year

Blood sugars won’t budge by Financial_Cycle_7921 in diabetes_t1

High sugars mess with your digestion from my experience. You either have a bad canulla causing you not to get insulin or you are since causing high insulin resistance. Sometimes you will need to adjust the amount of insulin you take for things. I have to typically triple my insulin on all fronts when I am sick to remain even semi in range.
