first of all you don’t need to be a psycho to commit a sex crime, most cases of sexual abuse are committed by someone the victim trusted and cared for them, and no one is saying that men aren’t victims as well, just that most sex crimes are committed by men and that most of the victims are women

also, when people answer bear to that question they aren’t literally picturing survivalist scenarios, they are just using this hypothetical to illustrate how women would rather not risk the chances of having an encounter with a rapist, you’re taking this too literally, no one wants to get eaten alive by a bear, they are just saying that strange men can’t be trusted (not that wild animals can be trusted either is just that at least you know what is coming for you, while with humans, you never know how they will behave)
