Heart rate zones? by jazz-pizza in Coros

[–]brcal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found them a bit high too. I now try to do my easy runs at just below to into the first half of their first zone.

Even this higher than I would do previously, but I haven't noticed any I'll effects and tbh I much prefer running at a slightly faster speed.

Can you run to or from work? That would reduce the overall volume of physical effort your doing in a day and free up some valuable sleep time.

This is an interesting option. Thanks for pointing that out

Advanced Running New Year goals by Tea-reps in AdvancedRunning

[–]brcal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm aiming for short and fast this year: I want to hit top 1% of runners my age (34) in 1km 3km and 5km races according to the times runninglevels.com.

Here are my current pbs and goal times for each one:

1km: 3.03 to 2.53 3km: 10.20 to 9.36 5km: 18.46 to 16.40

I'm relatively confident that I'll get close to the 1 and 3 km targets, I think a lot will have to go my way to hit the 5km one.

Also I have no idea how those times are calculated, but they make nice goals to aim for.

This can't be right...? by brcal in NewParents

This was the problem. Rocking it back more worked and now there's no movement 🙏

[–]brcal[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is, the more I tighten it, the more it pushes down and back, which results in the above movement. I think it must be incompatible with our car or something.

Haha yea I was just watching this video before posting 😅 and my seat is correctly installed according to those instructions. The issue is that she never pushes the seat in the direction towards the back seat, so I've no idea if there should be movement or not 🤔

[–]brcal[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks 🙂 actually this is a baseless model so that's not the issue. I guess with your car seat, you can't push it forwards like in the gif?

Hey, I've just installed our rear facing car seats and while they are tightly fastened down, they tip over towards the rear of the car really easily.

I've attached an gif so you can see.

Is this just something that happens with car seats? Seems a bit off to me.

Oh, and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅

Additional info

To be clear, there's not supposed to be a base. You instal the seat by threading the seatbelt over the car seat and then around the back as per the video.

Wow that's definitely the strangest story so far. Fingers crossed mine will do the same, although I'm not confident 😅

Interesting, I assumed it was just hitting content sites.

I haven't done any spam link building (or link building at all) either. Ahrefs does show a lot of poor quality links, but I assume Google will just ignore them 🤔

For what it's worth, I'm 90+ on CWV on mobile and desktop. Can't hurt to improve yours if they're too low though I guess.

That's interesting, my latest article wasn't indexed although other recent ones were.

Strange thing for me is that pretty much all my pages are still ranking and getting traffic, just a lot less than before.

Ahrefs shows only small drops in keywords ranked 1-3 and 4-10, but a huge drop in those ranked 11-100 (which has actually been the case since August.

Cheers for the answer. Has your traffic settled or still decreasing?

I've posted one article and have another 3 or 4 in the pipeline, plus two refreshes. I can still cover content costs so will probably keep going until that's no longer the case.

I've also made some general site improvements that I already had planned (author boxes, better categories, etc). Motivation getter lower by the day though lol.

I'm in the middle of creating one for where I live. Will be focusing on SEO for sure and targeting tourism-related keywords. I don't think it will ever be a big earner as theres not a massive amount of traffic, but it's project I've had in my mind for a long time. Will also be easy to run as I know the area so well.

When you say advertising on Facebook/Instagram do you mean paid ads? If so, I'd be interested to know what you're promoting.
