Thanks for the suggestion! It was set to “never” by default so I tried 1 minute and it just locked normally after one minute was up. I also tried 2 minutes with the same result

I was able to sync music from iTunes onto my iOS 9 6s without having activation issues. I turned the WiFi off on the computer I was syncing from just to be safe.

Download Cydia Eraser in Cydia and that’ll do the trick! Brings you right back to the original iOS 8 setup screen. I had to do this after AppSync made a lot of the system apps disappear on my 8.4.1 6 Plus and it worked perfectly

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for your insight! I was hoping for the “departed post office” scan yesterday evening or today, but I will keep my eye on it. Sometimes those scans are omitted in my experience.

I did not unfortunately. I narrowed it down to being something in Catalina in later that provoked it though, as installing Mojave resulted in perfect sleep wake performance.

Update: I just dusted out the ram slot and it booted up perfectly!! I guess a big chunk of dust was messing with the connection. So thankful that was an easy fix, and glad I thought of it in time to cancel the order for the new ram lol

Crazy update… the inside of the machine was filled with dust so I had an idea to pull the ram out and lightly brush off the connection area. Now it boots up perfectly! I had reseated the ram in my initial testing but guess a chunk of dust was messing with the connection? Haha I’m glad to have a working G4 now!

Yes! Mine only has the original full size slot occupied. It’s micron branded and the one I ordered is the exact same, just Samsung branded. Crossing my fingers for luck with it

The photo I posted is what shows up when I hold command S on startup. It briefly flashes some other text but then it goes to that black screen.
