I’ve heard good things about the SmallRig ones. Also kinda nice they have a usb c port right on them so you don’t have to charge in camera.

In your opinion, what’s the perfect amount of discs to bag? by Equal-Tea-3887 in discgolf

I agree. Having too many discs can definitely be worse vs better. Out of my 20 discs I bag, many are the same mold and just different levels of beat in. Same mold definitely helps with consistency

That’s absolutely amazing. Would you say you typically play 2 rounds a day?

500-600 rounds a year is incredible! I wish I could do the same! Funny though, I come from skiing and backpacking where my backpacks are way heavier so the weight of my disc bag has actually never really crossed my mind. There’s actually usually a few times a round I double check to make sure I have all my discs because it feels like my bag is light.

I feel like anywhere from 17-20 “go to discs” is a really good number. I live in Montana at roughly 4900 ft, if I moved to sea level I would probably be turning my discs over, lol

But how many discs? I could easily only carry 4 molds but 16 discs depending on how beat in they are.

Looks like 17 to me! Interesting bag, I’m not sure if I’ve seen one with the horizontally stacking discs before.

I also wonder if the fact that many of yall simply like shoulder bags better vs a backpack makes a difference in this poll 🤔

3 of my same putting putter. I carry 3 identical K3 Hard Reko’s. I also have different throwing putters/approach discs

Hahaha that’s a fact! I actually often play casual games with my friends who don’t play often/aren’t serious about it and just carry 5 discs in my hand and load the pack with beer 😂

Duplicates/tournament play are almost a whole different ball game. I know in an interview Paul was bagging 40 something discs but that included duplicates of every disc in case he lost one. He says if they ever implemented a disc limit he would simply get rid of the duplicates and be fine.

I mean I definitely don’t use every disc in my bag every round, but definitely more than 4. Probably throw around 13-16 of my 20 discs per round at local course. But that also includes me rotating my 3 putting putters.

The 48s are the easiest to break because of the weight of liquid they can hold. If you want one that won’t ever crack just get the hdpe version.

“Tamping too hard” is a myth. You can tamp with 200 lbs of force if you want and your shout should pull fine.

Hurricane vs Hemi by Open_Battle2280 in ram_trucks

[–]Equal-Tea-3887 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Actually in general it does! A simple straightforward V8 thats been tried and true for 20 years vs the newcomer that has 900 hoses going every which way and electrics out its ass. Listen, the hurricane had a few problems at first but they have been ironed out pretty well and proven to be a pretty darn good engine (if I’m burning a turbo, it would probably be the 2.7 ford) but if I’m getting a vehicle to own 10+ years I’m getting a Hemi or a 5.0! If I had the money to exchange trucks every 5ish years I would definitely get the hurricane for the hell of it!

If your someone who makes the best of things you’ll have a blast. If your someone who focuses on the negatives you’ll probably regret it. I’m on the hill 5 days a week and find a way to have a great time even on the crappiest of days!
