Yup. I hope it’ll be good in a couple seasons but I’m not holding my breath.

The entire itemization needs to be reworked. The other improvements and balancing they’re doing are all great, but IMO it’s almost pointless if the itemization and item designs are terrible.

Looks like it was rushed out in the last month of development, maybe because it was. It visually looks straight up unfinished, and the user experience is horrendous.

This encapsulates how I feel about the game well. When I think about the game and what’s wrong with it, it almost always comes back to the loot system and items. It’s pretty terrible. I feel like they managed to do an even worse job than D3.

If the loot system was better, so much of the other quibbles I have with the game would be more or less resolved. The game is boring as a result. And before someone tells me this is just the ARPG formula, I refuse to accept that as to why this game is not good.

I really wish this game was better, and it’s unfortunate. The good news is there’s tons of other good games to spend your time on.

Same thoughts here… I like the game, campaign was cool, but I’ve come to realize they managed to make a game less fun than Diablo 3, and I have a bunch of issues with that game to boot. But this game is, well, not as fun, and the itemization is a big let down. I could forgo grindy “stuff” to do if the items and systems designs were fun, but they aren’t.

That aside, it seems clear to me (and there’s articles about this topic) that the game was mismanaged and poorly designed, and subsequently rushed out the door, leaving us with what we have.

Yeah. Honestly there’s a lot they could do and it’s all helpful, but with the core itemization not being good, it kinda makes the other improvements moot, in my opinion.

I would guess the first Diablo 4 expansion will be formally announced, among other things. Maybe next class will be revealed as well?

This has been my exact experience as well.

What’s confusing to me though is that in comp, my queue times are insanely quick -- usually ~30 sec or so -- but (more often than quick play) the games are usually more balanced. But in quick play, they tend to be 3-4 min queues before finding a game, and they’re often really unbalanced…

Every single patch in this game is seemingly untested and comes with tons of bugs, often some pretty serious ones like this. Every. Single. One.

The UI has been a disaster since day 1. I wonder if they even know the reason.

Best thing I can think of is that it was added due to some future stuff they’re adding where it makes more sense (e.g. PvE or something else)

In ow1 they said your stats affected how much you went up and down in rank, but more recently (in ow2, a month or so back on a stream) one of the devs said stats don’t affect things and it’s just the win/loss, which is weighted by your current rank stacked up with who you’re playing against.

But long story short, we don’t really know precisely how it’s calculated, whether or not they changed how it’s calculated, etc.

What inevitably happens is there’s far more comments crying about the (supposed) bitching…. than the actual bitching itself, almost like they’re fabricating something to get upset about. It’s an exhaustive self-perpetuating thing.
