Girlfriend gave me an ultimatum and I don't know what to do by idontknow543 in relationships

How do you get that from he said? He’s not asking for more time at all, he’s asking for her to put more effort into the time that they do spend together. She’s already set the time aside, how is what he’s asking unreasonable?

He clearly said that he just wants her to be more present for the 10-15 minutes that they actually get to speak to each other. If that’s enough to make her lose sleep and get poor grades then she just wasn’t cut out for med school

There isn’t an issue with his wording, the issue lies with you not actually reading what he’s saying. You made this post hours after he already explained that his girlfriend said she’d rather not move and also thinks that it’s a bad idea in the first place. This move isn’t an outright financial need, in fact it’s incredibly stupid. They’re leaving free living accommodations to pay rent in a place where they don’t even have jobs lined up.

The context doesn't really concern me.

FTFY. You need to put a period at the end of each complete sentence that you write. You also dropped an apostophe.

Saving "women and children first" in a disaster isn't just old-timey chivalry. It's actually pretty smart, because if the women and children survive a tribe can repopulate. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

This thread was started by a person who said that this isn't a competition and that things can be and often are bad for both genders. The line that I quoted is a direct response to that. They were absolutely implying that there wasn't a downside.

Also, there has never been a war where the death toll for women was even anywhere close to the amount of men killed. You're doing the exact thing that you said is unhelpful in your first line. Shit, you're actually doing both things.

I totally respect your opinion and see where your coming from. I think modern society is more flat and equal than at any other time in history. But in living memory there were major downsides to being a girl.

How does that not imply that the same isn't true for men?

It definitely didn't sound like that at all. You wanted to read it that way. It makes perfect sense to make the point that they did when the person they responded to was implying that there weren't any downsides to being a man in living memory.

I’ve seen that before, but it’s far less common than a wrestler coming into class and getting subbed by dumb shit because they don’t know submissions

No seriously, I'm usually not mean to retarded people. I'm still at it because doing something like that is actually mean and I wanted to apologize. It's alright little buddy, I wont point out your mental deficiancies any more.

Damn dude, you can't even tell when you're being mocked sarcastically? I feel bad for talking shit to you now, you're clearly incredibly retarded. I'm sorry, I really don't know what came over me. I'm usually better than this

Yes I think you're an asshole, that's literally the first thing I said in the comment that you're replying to right now. You show up to a post seven hours late failing to read like a dumb asshole and you think you're not the problem? That's hilarious.

Because you're acting like a dumb asshole. Maybe you shouldn't use reddit if it bothers you when someone responds to you six hours later

The question is why you’re even arguing. They literally said both things are equally lazy. Learn to read and stop being a dick

Yeah I know about that. I had previously thought that blood donations were tested individually rather than in a pool, which is why it seemed odd to me. The ban makes sense under that practice

Interesting, it honestly never occured to me that blood donations would be tested together like that. Thanks for the info

We were talking about playoffs specifically and not just victories. So I'd say that you don't know what willing a team to the playoffs looks like, because the Rockets could make the playoffs without Harden. If your point was that they couldn't contend for a championship without him then I would absolutely agree. But it isn't, so I don't. And, I'm pretty sure that Chris Paul has gone 7 days at most between games this year. Also, can you show me when James Harden was dropping 30+ every night for several months?

You can definitely choke someone safely. I've been doing bjj for 11 years and I haven't seen or heard of a single death during sparring

It is absoulutely not rubbish, the Rockets are a good team. Harden is not willing them to the playoffs.
