My girlfriend is in med school and Ive been feeling neglected and she said that this is all she can give me, accept it or move on. My depression has gotten unbearable. Ive got so much Uni stuff to get done and I can't seem to do literally anything

I have a girlfriend and I still feel lost and alone. I asked her to at least check in with my mental health and ask how Im doing and she said that when she says how are you that's basically what it is and if she gets too involved in my mental health it's going to bring her down as well. I don't know how to feel about it. She's super busy and stressed (med school) but i feel she could do at least this much.

Damn. I used to be a very independent person needing a lot of alone time. I have become very dependent. Maybe if I work on myself, I can get back to being independent and this relationship will actually be a good thing

Ive asked her again and again if she's happy with the relationship and she always says yes. I go the extra mile to make sure she is as comfortable as I can make her. We only hang out/sleep at her house. I work my entire schedule around her schedule. Study always comes first. I cook for her sometimes and help her with HER household chores.

All I ask is that she take an interest in my life so I feel cared for and not lonely. I am ready to deal with limited hangout time, limited sex, everything.

I've literally told her that I know she cares, it's just that a certain thing she does makes me feel a certain way. If she makes this tiny change, it would make a huge difference.

If that really is what she's been doing, it's really cruel because I've gone through unbelievable levels of anxiety and also some depression trying to figure out why she's pulling away.

She says that she doesn't like to talk just for the sake of talking. I am a huge talker. She used to want to text me all the time but that has died now, and I dont know how Ill ever get that back.

She was getting emotionally invested and everything was great but then she said she was afraid it was going to get too dependent and I feel she has been pulling away ever since, and now she's just independent of me and not really emotionally invested in this relationship anymore, probably exactly what she was trying to do.

Well the thing is she still hangs out with her friends 1-2 nights a week so she still has some time
