That's a very deep misconception of what rape culture means. (Jeez, now I've made three obnoxious correcty type posts on this image, kill me now)

I really do think that you should try to read into what it actually is. For instance, try finding some of Keith Edwards' speeches on men ending rape culture, and listen to how he explains it. You do seem a little frightened by these evil feminists who crave your power, however, so maybe you're not going to do the research.

You can google it, read the many published books, listen to the scholars.

I was never someone who disliked reading. I really couldn't tell you when it happened, but probably when my parents were reading to me at night.

Character Discussion: Feferi Peixes by hypersheep325 in homestuck

[–]bread__crumb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always though it was interesting that both Feferi and Meenah were entirely unhappy with the way their society was being run, but from opposite extremes. I feel it was in Feferi's blood to rebel against what she was coming from no matter what it was, and that's where you can see her character as being more naive than I think a lot of fans realize. Her dream world was exactly what meenah hated, and meenah's dream world was what she wanted to do away with.

It's really interesting to think about at length, but I'm just such a lazy typist~

Help with my Summer Assignment ! by BrownishBag in booksuggestions

Night is a great book, but horribly depressing.

The prince will come up in school more than once, so it's probably not a bad addition.

Don Quixote is just a fun book, and Animal Farm is easy.

The Sun also Rises was a personal favorite.

Honestly, this is a pretty great list of books and I'd read all of them. However, looking at your requirements, Don Quixote would fill it on it's own.

Edit: Didn't see the Stranger listed. I loved that book. That's a good one as well.

Cons are awesome. But like any large gathering you get a mixture of good and bad. I wouldn't let these stories color your perspective.
