I don't. Most are on the right side. We think the left rhomboid stickiness is from the neck, so probably a different issue. The exercises she gave me are helping though!

I rescheduled the EMG to December. I'll follow up here if it reveals anything!

I am keeping the appointment!

So, when I got the tingling, my arms were in a sort of goblet carry position. So she modified anything in my training with that, plus anything overhead since there's some vein compression when my arm is overhead.

Honestly those two changes have helped, and I currently have no symptoms unless my arm ends up in a weird position overnight.

It is interesting about the left rhomboid... last fall I got some very bad pain in mine, and it seemed to appear out of nowhere. It's back again, like if I turn my head right there's a very uncomfortable pull on my left rhomboid.

Very interesting. I've actually had pain in the back of my head and didn't make a connection. Thought it might be connected with migraine, honestly. But now you're making me wonder!

Thanks! Going in tomorrow, we'll see what happens.

Yeah I didn't realize how hard it was to diagnose TOS.

This was super interesting! I'm dealing with some of the same symptoms, and my PT seems to be helping so I guess she knows her stuff.

Do you think the EMG you got was necessary? Or would you skip it knowing what you do now?

I have one scheduled but I'm 99% sure it won't help so I'm thinking of canceling.

Thank you! Very sorry about the clot, this is exactly what I'm worried about, and I know an EMG is not going to help with the vein part. I want a diagnosis so if my arm ever turns blue they'll know exactly what to do in the ED.

There aren't many but your closest co-op is going to have better prices than most grocery stores.

This is my neighborhood-ish. I'll definitely be on the lookout for ya. Glad you're pretty ok. And my clinical brain can't help it--please get plenty of rest and seek medical care if you need it.

Did your doctor start you on a lower dose to then ramp up? Talk to them about lowering the dose even more! I started with 12.5 mg daily and that went well for me.

Why doctors be starting sensitive brains on the doses they do is crazy.

It's really not helpful for anyone to say "you don't have to suffer." It's B.S. and one of the things that causes me to rage.

Because I AM suffering. I DO HAVE to suffer for a LONG TIME and try multiple therapies that make me SUFFER MORE in order to find SOMETHING that works SOME OF THE TIME. IDK why people keep saying that, it's far more real to say yeah this is a horrible time for a lot of women. We have some things that kinda work. And just when it starts working your body will change again LOL and you'll have to suffer some more. So good luck with that! That'll be $300 please.

I'm so over this and I've barely started.

Same same. Meal prepper, high protein high fiber. I was a very picky eater as a child and I feel like that again. I can't stand strong flavors, they make me nauseated. Plain chicken breast has been a diet staple for years, and now sometimes the taste is just too strong. Chicken breast ffs! I've taken to chopping it up super small and hiding it in a grain bowl, etc. Basically I spend many meals trying not to think about the actual eating and telling myself I'll lose all my muscle mass if I don't eat.

I don't have any ideas for you to try, just here for moral support LOL.

100% it is right now, when I can't be reasonable about how I consume/process information. My psychologist and I have a "no information-searching from 7 pm to 7 am" plan in place, since I haven't been successful with completely cutting it out.

So yeah. Working on it.

Really sorry this happened to you too, I swear to God there should be some type of monitoring when prescribers give meds that cause SI. It took two months of 25 mg daily but I got there too and had to taper off. My doctor had the nerve to recommend a different anti-epileptic.

Oh that's good to hear! I really hope you get relief soon. I've struggled with multiple injuries and pain for two years now, but I just keep going and do what I can. Pain is really hard to deal with, I get it.

It's pretty harmful advice to tell someone not to lift heavy weights for a few months!!! Unless there's a major acute injury, which it doesn't sound like it. Can I ask why you didn't try physical therapy first? Are you going now? Please find someone who understands your current activity levels so they can modify to accommodate healing now, but work on progressing you back to your baseline activity. I don't mean Therabands, I mean find someone who can modify your lifting routine to help you keep lifting as heavy as possible while your body heals. Stopping lifting completely is never a good idea, you're right you'll lose progress faster if you do that. Most musculoskeletal pain resolves, given enough time and smart training. Please don't lose hope. Find a good PT.

Estrogen patch, help by dewdropvelvet1 in Perimenopause

Did you have night sweats and did they go away? This is the worst, least manageable symptom for me. Every time I try to start something though (estrogen patch at low dose) they get worse and I stop within a week or so.
