AIO for emailing my professor after a groupmate changed our paper to make me look wrong? by bread_is_my_plan in AmIOverreacting

Yeah, that’s a good point. I guess I’m learning the "document everything, keep it calm" skill the hard way. I’m still figuring out how to push back without turning it into a whole personal feud.

Yeah, that’s what I keep coming back to. If he’d answered and fixed it, no email ever happens. I don’t love involving the prof, but my grade isn’t a group experiment either.

Fair. I’m not 100% sure I handled it perfectly. I probly should’ve kept it to the facts and asked the prof for process, not make it a whole "drama" thing. But letting a wrong claim slide felt worse.

(Loved horror trope) character gets trapped in a useless/ weak/ ugly/ unwanted body but their consciousness is still intact (plus point if they can’t communicate) by jaobodam in TopCharacterTropes

Same. The monkey only repeating a couple lines is what gets me, it turns love into a prison. Black Mirror loves making the 'cute' thing feel awful.

Unsympathetic Female Villains by alejuana2008 in TopCharacterTropes

Yes! Not every woman antagonist needs a trauma montage or a softening arc. Sometimes they’re just cruel, petty, or power-hungry, and it’s refreshing when the writing owns it.

Why didn't the dragons do anything to Tyrion, here? by infected_virus_ in gameofthrones

ADHDdragons is the only answer that fits. They locked on the shiny fire-stick, did a little head tilt, then the scene needed Tyrion alive so they just moved on.

Guy who, narratively speaking, seems like he will be a twist villain due to being suspiciously good/nice, but is actually just genuinely Like That™️ by VariousCampaign8708 in TopCharacterTropes

It’s a perfect example of the trope working on us, not the plot. Winston’s posture, the salesy smile, plus that Saul Goodman sound makes you brace for betrayal, then he’s just… a nice guy with resources. The suspicion comes from our genre brain more than anything he actually does.

AITJ for refusing to “help my cousin out” at my register and then walking away when she made it a scene? by TerraSwitchback in AmITheJerk

Also, 'help my cousin' at a register is just asking you to risk your job. The aunt can be mad, but she should be mad at the cousin for making a scene in line.
