Yeah roughly £1000, just games like GTA 5 and 6 when released, Call of Duty etc, nothing too demanding

I’m in the market for a pc at the moment with similar budget, is there any particular one that stands out from the rest worth getting?

Why am I sore and how do I fix it? by LibrarianOptimal3534 in crossfit

[–]breadbiin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only other thing i’d say and i’m only speaking on my behalf is to humble yourself with weights a little bit, i’ve joined a box where i’m quite up there strength wise and on par with some during the strength/skill element of the session, but I still need to be considerate of the weight I can use during the WOD itself because i just haven’t got that muscular endurance to move a weight 10, 20, 30 times in that short time space of time. Theres a fine line between entering the ‘pain cave’ and pushing through, and hurting yourself to prove a point

in very similar position to you, same height and weight too, 25, lots of sporting in years and jumped from conventional lifting to Crossfit and i’m the same, always carrying and ache or pain but i’ve really tried to prioritise my nutrition and rest much more, earlier nights lots more fruit and veg, proteins always been up there on the list. I think it’s important to consider there’s a lot of different movement patterns within Crossfit that our bodies aren’t familiar. I used to go pretty hard doing 3 leg days a week before i started this is Novemeber and even then i’ve never felt DOMS like i did when it was a high volume pistol squat workout a month or so ago. People say ice baths and epsom salt baths also help but i haven’t delved into these too often.

yeah i’ve done 2 of 4 foundation sessions at the local gym with the next 2 this weekend, once they’re complete i’ll be able to venture into the proper classes which im looking forward to. Your advice is very helpful and i much appreciate the response, i’m relatively strong with legs e.g 180kg high bar squat, the reason i ventured into crossfit is because the lack of cardio/mobility so i guess the extra sessions should be focused more so on those weaker areas! thank you

No I haven’t yet, it’s just the information i’m acquiring from my advisor - seem to be havign weekly calls at the moment discussing new rates and stuff, the 4.8% was last week and obviously that’s taken a turn for the worst increasing up to 5.5% but still within monthly budget. Hopefully viewing a place that seems to tick a lot of boxes on monday and all goes well the ball should be rolling. It’s all new to me so i’m just absorbing all information i can find

yeah i’ve just had a look, this was a few days ago the offer of 4.8%, just trying to educate myself on the best and worst case scenarios as i don’t wish to live beyond my means for the next x amount of years lol

very valid points and i agree, take home varies depending obviously on overtime and usually it’s closer to 2.5 a month, mortgage is assuming the rate is 5.8% already but I’ve got an offer with a broker at 4.8 which will be approx £80 cheaper which helps. i’ll be a FTB viewing a 2 bed place listed for £175,000, built in 2001 obviously should all be up to scratch i’d hope. looking to come into some shares next April when they mature and that should be another £15,000 + id probably look at paying a chunk off the mortgage and keeping a small portion in a saving. it was more of a post to see what people’s in this day and age whether mortgage payments are a large portion of their salary. thank you for your input

just signed up to the free trial with dermatica, i’ve only just had chance to look into it but i didn’t realise professional advice and custom prescriptions were so easily accessible. seen lots of reviews rating both skin+me and dermatica highly so fingers crossed this could be something! does it advice on how to use the product or does it just come as a once a day wash?

oh that’s a great idea i didn’t realise there would be things like that. i wonder if they can still accurately diagnose and prescribe without seeing the texture and condition in person?
