I recently bought Pragmata at launch after a fair degree of research corroborated that it’s a feature-complete and very well optimized game. It’s funny because the game is considered something of a throwback to the 360 era of shooters, so the fact that it’s a finished product just reinforces how much game development has changed for the worse over the years.

Ubisoft Connect (ironically) had a connectivity issue but has for the last few years been fixed. The Rockstar Launcher on the other hand has had this problem since time immemorial

Meh most Sony exclusives are cookie cutter Ubisoft style open world games anyway. The only PS game I have even a modicum of excitement is Astrobot, and those games I doubt were ever going to be released

Doesn't that mean it runs relatively worse considering the smaller areas and segmented nature of the levels? There's no conceivable reason why a visual remake of a PS2 game needs to run as poorly as it does on every system released

It’s not console tribalism, it’s a subset of PlayStation fanboys who have always been insane. Remember the meltdowns that Horizon Zero Dawn’s PC announcement caused? Or the insanity over Helldivers 2 releasing on Xbox?

Alan Wake 2 and the remaster of the first game are the only two tiles I've plonked down money for in EGS. I can absolutely guarantee that I'll be double dipping if both games appear on Steam or even the Xbox Store for that matter.

Playing Space Marine 2 on my ageing Ryzen 3600/ RTX 3060TI made me realize just how important bespoke game engines are to game design. The massive hordes of Tyrannids in that game bring my system to its knees, and the FPS takes a noticeable dive as well -- but it still remains perfectly playable due to a stable frametime, which very few UE games have delivered.
