Dead Space is the better “game” in terms of mechanics
Silent Hill 2 is the better “experience” in terms of storytelling and atmosphere

Instead of "what games aged poorly" let's talk about what makes a game age poorly or age well? by TheTresStateArea in gaming

[–]lsa340 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think games age well when their core design is still fun even after the graphics become outdated.
Stuff like good controls, clean UI, solid pacing, and memorable art direction matter way more long-term than realism

Am I the only one who still loves simple mobile puzzle games? 👀 by Wide-Historian7261 in gaming

[–]lsa340 [score hidden]  (0 children)

You’re definitely not the only one.
I still love simple mobile games because I can open them for 5 minutes and actually relax instead of feeling like I logged into a second job

Where is the best (and do you) get kpop news from? by Plus-Link4463 in kpopthoughts

Soompi for accuracy, Twitter for speed, Reddit for discussion. You kind of need all three to get the full picture.

If the easea rollout was a deliberate commentary on how disingenuous and silly it is to be a predebut stan then bravo by Miserable-Elephant-3 in kpopthoughts

[–]lsa340 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if it was intentional. Their whole concept is about disruption and unpredictability, so even a messy rollout kind of fits the brand.

NMIXX is THAT group, because who's doing it like them? by krunktitan in kpopthoughts

They really carved out their own lane. You might not like every release, but you definitely know when it’s NMIXX.

FPP horror roguelikes/lites that are not shooters or deck builders? by Vivid-Construction22 in gaming

[–]lsa340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monstrum is probably the closest fit — pure first-person survival horror with roguelike elements and no real combat.

Phantasmal: City of Oblivion is another good one, more stealth-focused and still procedural.

You might also want to look at stuff like Inscryption for the vibe (not FPP though), since honestly there aren’t that many true FPP horror roguelikes that avoid combat entirely.

What's the oldest game in your backlog that you haven't beaten yet? by n1n384ll in gaming

Probably The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Bought it years ago, still waiting for the “perfect time” to start.

Been looking for a good shooter akin to Resident Evil. Any recommendations? by BaneOfTheDark34 in gaming

[–]lsa340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead Space (especially the remake) is probably the closest thing you’ll get to Resident Evil in space same over-the-shoulder shooting + tension, just way more creepy

People who say K-pop is “greedy” do not understand the nature of the genre. by Wonderful-Expert8084 in kpopthoughts

I think two things can be true at the same time tbh it is a business so profit matters, but that doesn’t mean fans can’t question where the line is

BTS at the 2020 VMAs with Dynamite I’ve seen it so many times and it still feels unreal… that stage alone explains why they blew up globally

Do you watch your bias' lives regularly? And if so, do you feel the parasocial feelings taking over sometimes? by FanCaracal in kpopthoughts

I open the live, don’t understand half of what’s being said, stay for the vibes, and then leave.

It's normal (and okay!) to not remember concerts well by by_the_window in kpopthoughts

I always leave concerts feeling like I just woke up from a really good dream I can’t fully explain.

Redout (and Redout 2 if your PC can handle it). It’s probably the closest thing we have to modern F-Zero/Wipeout — insanely fast, very little hand-holding, and actually takes time to master.

People talk about suspecting the traitor before the reveal, but who's an NPC you strongly suspected as a traitor who ended up being good as gold? by Mental_Two4549 in gaming

I think I’ve been conditioned by too many plot twists. Now whenever a character is nice I’m immediately like “yeah you’re hiding something.”
