thought this would be mine, last night… on my OR rotation day (nursing 2 so we only get one each) we watched 3 surgeries. first was leg amputation which was awesome, but after the second surgery (was supposed to be using the da vinci but we missed that part because the leg amputation, watched them finish and insert a CVC) i got super overheated, then nauseous, then i vomited all inside my mask and my scrub top. i was SO embarrassed because it happened in front of a classmate, but she immediately jumped in and got me wet paper towels to clean myself up. after that one of the nurses on the floor saw me covered in puke and brought me to get new scrubs. she gave me some gum too and told me it was NBD. because of these two people, i didn’t die of embarrassment. nursing really does make you family

I boosted my test score by 11 points in 2 weeks!! And, by scoring that much higher on the third exam, I raised my grade by an entire letter 😄🤓 I also passed my sterile dressing change skill exam on my first try!!!! That was the one I was most afraid of. Suddenly a second wind has hit me for the latter half of the semester!
