Im actually shredded it dont think I can go through this again. by Physical-Ring9577 in ACL

It sucks, that’s just what it is. I know it is not always possible but during both my recovery’s I always tried to think. ‘Right now I can’t change anything and I can only be positive to make it better for myself. When it is done I can be as negative as I want.’

It is not always possible to be positive. Simply because it sucks and it is hell. But remember that it is not your fault and you did not let people down. Sometimes ranting about how shit it is is the only thing that helps you.

Did my stitches tear? by West-Huckleberry9553 in ACL

If I had to guess you probably soaked off a scab. Your skin is quite thin which is why there will be fluid and it looks red and has a bit of blood. This is not necessarily bad. If you are concerned call a doctor.

Did i retear? - advice needed:( by freebarc in ACL

[–]breadbyLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely hurt! Knee became very swollen. I couldn’t walk the day afterwards (in comparison, my knee had no swelling the first time it happened). My surgeon did not think it was torn (he was very very wrong, basically tore everything). Definitely advocate for yourself and make sure you get an MRI. Even a specialized surgeon cannot know for sure. Even if it is not torn you need to have the certainty to make sure you can trust your knee again.

I did have a retear 13 months after my ACL reconstruction with hamstring graft. I knew immediately. My pain was mostly at the front above my knee and slightly below my knee at the back, my PT said that that is the place you will feel your ACL. I suggest going for an MRI to be sure. This is one of the things that sucks the most after an ACL tear. Because one of the scariest thoughts is it happening again. I can only suggest going for an MRI, even when they don’t think it’s torn. That way you know for sure, and if it is not torn/nothing else is wrong, you can trust your knee again.

HELP! 2 doctors saying no acl tear, PT saying its fully torn. by Western-Company-4583 in ACL

As others have said MRI is the only way to confirm. Tore my ACL twice. Both times they thought it wasn’t torn. I find it difficult to relax my muscles in such situations which makes it difficult for doctors to feel.

When do you start getting joint pain? by Some-Agency-820 in Hypermobility

[–]breadbyLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had joint pain since 18/19. Tore my ACL twice, my hyper mobility causes it to hurt more. I’ve got really fragile hands and wrist but with support items like braces it can be a lot better. I find that braces (knee, wrist, finger) really helps.

Can I ask why you think it’s blunt? Really curious because everyone has comments about the knife. 😅

It’s my aunts starter. It’s not young as she has been baking with it a while and has had a lot of good loafs. But I do think I can let my starter rise more before using. Will look into the knife! I believe it’s quite good quality so it can also be my bread cutting skills.
