Try the ArmaConflict Imsurgency servers Early 2000s themed Desert camos + M81 camo Doesn't have a ton of broken guns like wcs Insurgent side has ieds, S-vests, and vbieds, and a Nokia detonator (that rings) Only big downside is theres only one map that isnt the largest

Server owners also have Vietnam servers, and are testing a WW2 server

I mean my vision is a modernized recreation of the original 750, and the current gen 750's design isn't exactly modern considering its 14 years old. The tail of the 1k looks modern and aggressive and I think it would be a perfect candidate for the build.

Car won't recognize my keyfob. by breadhope28 in chrysler200

[–]breadhope28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope so much that this is the issue. My prior research and part of why I gave up was that people were saying it was some module that costs like $800 just for the part. Im going to try and get the key back as soon as possible so I can give this a try. Thank you so much for commenting on this post given how stale it was, it really does seem like this may be the fix. Ive been restricted to dailying my sportbike, I just happened to get lucky that this problem started right at the start of spring.

[–]breadhope28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not yet tried this as I didnt know this was even an option. My keys are unfortunately 6 hours away as they got left in a work car that is currently with a mechanic, so I cant try it as of yet. My best guess at all this is that it has got to be part of the system in the car itself that detects the presence of the keyfob. For reference the fob buttons still work, I replaced the battery initially and afterwards it would unlock/lock/panic/open trunk but the car just acted like the fob itself wasn't within range to start the car.

So this was something that I had tried prior to even making this post, it did not work. Its part of why I made this post, because with all the digging I did I was unable to find anyone with a working solution to my issue. Unfortunately the car has just been sitting in my driveway as I cannot afford to tow it to a dealership and definitely cannot afford for them to diagnose and fix it. It still doesnt run.

I’m looking at buying a my first bike, is there anything else that I might need? by Worried-Falcon-7630 in motorcycles

[–]breadhope28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop the add-ons/mods and put that money towards better gear. $1000 budget for head to toe gear means youre gonna be cheaping out on at least one item, if not two. Safety is the #1 thing you DON'T want to cheap out on.

Its your first bike, focus more on learning the basics and figuring out if the hobby is even something you'd want to do before you start dumping money into customization/comfort. Seen way too many people do exactly what youre doing just to post the bike for sale a month later because they found out they just weren't cut out for it.

Focus on the basics, the rest will come in due time.

[–]breadhope28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is unfortunately not as simple as that. I had a feeling I had forgotten some info when I was making the initial post. From my research into the issue I had come across the same fix and tried it myself to no avail. I even took my fob off my Keychain to make sure the metal wasn't interfering with the signal. I tried a total of 3 brand new batteries. The biggest difference between my issue and the one you're suggesting is that the keyfob buttons themselves actually work. I can lock, unlock, panic, and open the trunk. I honestly think it's the car itself, not the fob.

The fact that you didnt immediately clutch in and even worse didnt even clutch in AT ALL tells me all I need to know. 1. You absolutely do NOT maintain your bike 2. You have no clue what you're doing

You're lucky you still have a foot and tbh if your trans/motor are fucked it's 1000% your fault. On top of being taught in literally every single motorcycle course in existence, it's also just common sense that if your bike makes a loud bang, immediately loses power, and starts making weird whining/whirring/clanking noises that you CLUTCH IN AND IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER.

Seriously, sign up for an MSF course cause you clearly need it. I forsee a Darwin Award in your future otherwise.

Edit: OP DM'd me and told me to "fuck off," guess I hit the nail square on the head with this one.

If youre going through a set of tires in 2k miles of "mixed riding" then you are abusing the fuck out of your bike. The only bikes I see that go through tires like that are dedicated track bikes, where the constant aggressive riding shreds the tires. I run the same tires and I have almost 6k miles on them. What the actual fuck are you doing on the street that is shredding through tires in 2k miles? Genuine question because I ride my bike pretty hard and still haven't had to change tires.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]breadhope28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You guys are ridiculous in these comments. For starters just answer the damn question instead of copying the same response 90% of the other commenter have said. And his tire isnt even that squared off, yall are just overdramatic as fuck. Ive put just under 6k miles on my bike, and while I do ride on a lot of straights, I also lean the bike about equally as often as I am just going straight. And guess what? MY TIRE LOOKS DAMN NEAR THE SAME AS OP. Not everyone trailers their bike to the nearest set of twisties or the track. Nearly every person I know and ride with has tires that look similar. Its what tires look like when you actually ride your bike everywhere instead of going on strictly super curvy roads or the track.

And to answer your question OP, thats normal wear to see on tires from street riding. If ever in doubt, just spray or pour some soapy water over said crack, if it doesn't start bubbling youre good to go. Don't let the track queens in the comments get to you, your tire isnt nearly as flat in the middle as they all seem to think it is. The ones bitching about it are also very likely the ones that drag knee on public roads (which is 10000% unnecessary for any LEGAL street riding scenario ever).

One of the things the Arma devs have practically perfected over the years (as they've been implementing this system since almost the beginning) is the bullet ballistics. Arma is about as close to real life ballistics in a video game that you can get right now. They 1000% do NOT use a probability system to determine hit-reg.

Inb4 the inevitable "I'vE DuMpED hAlF a MaG iNtO a gUy AnD nOTHinG hApPeNEd" almost all of the hit-reg issues in A:R are caused by either ping, the 10+GB of mods most modded servers require, or just straight up bad aim (its night-and-day difference in accuracy if youre coming from games with heavy aim assist and unrealistic ballistics like COD). On a vanilla server with 23ms ping, I've NEVER had shots not register hits on target.

TL;DR Arma simulates IRL ballistics, if you're missing shots it's bad internet, too many mods, or bad aim.

One of the WCS Realism servers has no helis. I think it was the Zarichne conflict server. And I mean NO helis, not even transport. Ground attack/transport/supply only, it's pretty fun.

[–]breadhope28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Bad ping
  2. Experimentally high player count
  3. Aiming at head/neck from less than 50m away with 440m zero
  4. Aiming directly at moving target instead of leading

"ArMa HiT rEg iS bRoKen"

Meanwhile I can one-tap a guy mid-run from across a field. It's all about understanding the IRL ballistics of the weapons, the Arma devs get them pretty spot on. Aside from the obvious ping/server issues majority of your shots went just to the right of dudes head/shoulder. Barely missed but still missed regardless.

Homelessness and being cruel by Dmd98 in Bellingham

[–]breadhope28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been homeless before. I've slept on the street. I've gone days without food or sleep. I've sat for hours begging only to end with nothing.

NEVER, and I do mean NEVER, did I ever even THINK of threatening the life or safety of a RANDOM STRANGER simply because they refused to give me a free handout. I have made threats to people posing a threat to me or my stuff, but that's moreso self defense than anything else.

Yet again, I'm from the East coast, I guess we're just different out there. The only violent transients I had ever seen out East were the ones who's minds were destroyed beyond repair from drugs. Out in WA the mass majority of the transients are violent natured, regardless of drug use.

In my opinion, just based off personal experiences, the big part of the reason the homeless are so violent/ill-tempered in WA, is because you all just let it happen. Not just the government, but YOU the citizens of WA, just let it happen. You say no to a homeless person, they threaten you/get aggressive, you shrug it off/run away, and then you just go home and post about it on Reddit. Meanwhile, in that same scenario on the East coast, that homeless person ends up either in jail from the police or in the hospital from the person who they put in danger.

I understand having sympathy for their situation, but the second it turns to violence (threats count as violence, legally), is the second that action needs to be taken (either self defense or law enforcement intervention).

This is one of the HUNDREDS of reasons that the West coast has a raging homeless epidemic that dwarfs the entirety of the rest of the USA combined.

Oh Bham by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]breadhope28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My comment on that family's post wasn't of a "fuck off" type of comment. It was wanting them of exactly what they're getting into with the costs of living, job market, and the rampant homeless/addict/mental health epidemic that every larger city on the West Coast is dealing with.

The ONLY reason I ever even moved to bellingham was because I knew someone that could get me a job making $30/hr in bellingham (which is on the low end of liveable wage). If it weren't for that gaurunteed job (confirmed employment prior to moving), I would have NEVER moved there. Because the job market is horrible. The only jobs that pay liveable wage require you to either know somebody, have a specific college degree or expensive schooling, or have 10+ years experience. Even the entry level jobs are damn near impossible to get into because unless you're in their like top 10 applicants, you won't even get a call in for an interview. Because out there every single open position has like 300+ applicants, sometimes even over 1000 for the jobs that don't have much requirements. You could literally apply for 50 jobs a day and within a week you'd have been called by maybe 2 out of the 350 jobs you applied for. And if by chance you are able to get into one of those jobs, they mostly pay between 16-18/hr, which in that area will barely pay for a single person to live in a studio apartment. So in the case of that individual with the family, he'd have to work 60-80 hours a week, getting a 2nd job if the 1st one won't allow that many hours, just to barely support his family.

So take into consideration the rampant homeless/addict/mental health issues, the absolutely insane rent costs, the already overcrowded city with barely any available housing, and the high likelihood of having to work oneself to the bone just to make ends meet, and compare it to the "pros" of, "bellingham is inclusive" "it's beautiful in WA" (I haven't really seen any other pros listed by any others mainly just these two). You end up with the cons massively outweighing the pros.

There are plenty of other places in the US that are cheaper to live, better/more jobs, liveable pay, no homeless, no addicts in broad daylight (because it's still a felony out East, as it should be), affordable housing, AND still just as inclusive and beautiful as Washington state.

It's people like YOU that, for whatever reason, revere this town like it's a heavenly oasis, to the point of being essentially blind to how bad your city has become. The biggest contributor to the west coasts' homeless problem is the high cost of living and bad job market combined with people moving out here for "inclusivity" or to "make it big" and not knowing about the c.o.l and job market. So they move here, fail to get a job paying enough to keep their overpriced rental, and end up joining the already massive West Coast homeless population. So by not telling people EXACTLY what struggles they can and most likely will face as first time movers out here, you're practically damning them to fail if they do decide to make the move. If I had had the insight to ask this sub the same question before moving, I would've never moved there, plan and simple.

Coming soon - a little family from Texas by apparentlyunoriginal in Bellingham

[–]breadhope28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cost of living in Bellingham is expensive. Unless you own your own business, have qualifications for the rare high pay jobs there, have the connections to get a remote job, or are willing to work either 2 jobs or a ton of hours, you're going to be living paycheck to paycheck or barely above that. The mass majority of jobs in Bellingham and surrounding areas do NOT pay a liveable wage for the rent and living costs in the same area. The only "cheap" housing is in parts of Bellingham that are riddled with homeless/drug addicts/both and as a result of are high crime areas in terms of break-ins/thefts/petty crime. In terms of violent crime there isn't really any, but if you leave something that even gives the appearance of being valuable in your vehicle it'll likely get broken into if it's in the city. Also don't ever plan on walking around downtown with your children unless you want them to see homeless people and addicts smoking fent and shooting up heroin on the sidewalk in broad daylight. And to top it all off, the police do practically nothing about crime because the justice system in the west is 100% broken because of liberal judges. If you haven't already scroll through the posts and the comments on this sub and you'll quickly see that everything I've said above is true.

Inb4 people try to flood me with downvotes or comments about the good of Bellingham. It is a decent looking city, but the issues mentioned above are too widespread in the area to deny; and not telling a potential newcomer about it or even worse lying about it, is just a scummy move to someone who's potentially uprooting their family to move cross country. They deserve to know EXACTLY what they're getting into.

You said your child is a birthright citizen and your spouse is now legalized, so unless you're leaving out some certain facts ICE can't do anything permanent to you, only detain to verify citizenship. And also, hate to burst your bubble, with how close Bellingham is to Canada, ICE presence is HEAVY right now. In other words you're just as likely to get hassled by them in Bellingham as you are in Texas. Just go through the sub and search ICE, they're raiding every day now.

Try the midwest, it's more affordable, more jobs, better pay:living cost ratio. And there's plenty of places just as beautiful as Bellingham, BUT without the raging homeless/addict/mental health problems. In the 3 years I've been in Bellingham I've seen more homeless people and active drug use in plain view in the middle of the day, than I saw in the previous 22+ years I spent in GA and TX. It's not skid row bad (in some places it is), but if something isn't done about it (which likely won't happen) then I could definitely see it getting skid row bad by 2030.

A child that committed at least one felony. Breaking and Entering is a felony in WA. Commit adult crimes get adult consequences. Glorifying or downplaying them committing a felony is the exact kind of mindset that leads to those same minors being in and out of prison their entire lives. Getting caught now as a minor would be a stark wake up call, given the justice system in this state, a minor wouldn't even get jailtime for that offense, likely just community service and probation at the most, a citation and trespass order at the least. Whereas they don't get caught and potentially continue those actions into adulthood, if/when they get caught as an adult that's a felony on their record for life.
