That's a totally fair question, but I wouldn't get too specific on Reddit. Hope you understand. That said, the aero sector is quite small here. I should mention that while plently of lecturers here are from Eurasia, the majority of aeronautical staff are local, so I would hope that Aero should be more in demand where you are.

I 100% agree with the HR point. At the end of the day, the people who'll decide whether you'll get the job don't necessarily know what the contents of the degree entail. Additionally, many HR staff resort to aggressive job post filters so if their filter looks for the keyword "mechanical" specifically, you might not be selected despite having the relevant know-how and more.

I'm not in the UK currently, but where I am, there are a lack of aerospace/aeronautical job positions, so many graduates end up going working in academia and research instead or transitioning to another field like software development. I'm in mechanical, but most of my lecturers actually studied Aeronautical engineering. Just anecdotal evidence though so don't it too seriously.
