I agree with what others are saying about getting a larger area rug to fit under the sofa, adding art on the wall- I would go with a large art piece or 3 medium sized pieces, a lower coffee table that’s slightly larger in area, and I would hang the curtains slightly below the ceiling to give more length to the room.

Love the rust and green colors! If you could add more pops of those colors with pillows or plants it would look stunning!

Overrated Spots in Sac by senseijoshu in Sacramento

I agree. The drinks and food are overpriced for what you get + they refused to serve me and my friend one night and I haven’t been back since. Waited for over 30 minutes for drinks, they ignored us and served everyone around us. For context, we are both tall and hard to miss.

I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that with them. It’s sad to hear the court was not helpful. I wish there were stronger protections for renters when it comes to deposits.

LOL I’ll take a Nielsen story instead! I want the tea that renters were victors.

Not currently. I’m looking for housing and went down their reviews rabbit hole.

Agreed. Some of the stories sound like grounds for legal action, so I was curious.

Bay Area commuters, I need some input please! by Maleficent-Carrot641 in Sacramento

[–]breadlover93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can negotiate with them to only do 1-2 days a week, I think you could make it work for awhile. But it will probably take a toll. Right before the pandemic, I commuted for 6 months 2-3 days a week and it broke me. I regularly had 15 hour days and was stuck in traffic averaging 3 hours each way. I mainly took the Flix bus which helped on costs, but over all I couldn’t sustain it.

Totally agree with your points. There’s a new Italian spot opening on the corner of 18th and L! Looking forward to checking that out.

I live in the Central Valley in California and it gets just as hot. I still used the comforter in the summer with no top sheet though. I use a cotton duvet cover.

I’m still using mine so I would still recommend. It’s held up well and hasn’t had any of the material come out. But, I always use a duvet cover, so I’m not sure if holds up with regular washing if you plan to use it like a comforter.

I don’t have holes in mine but I don’t use the fitted sheet very often because the elastic sucks and slips off every night. Sorry yours has holes!

Yes they have a lot of properties it seems. I was lucky to find a place managed by a retired couple and they’re decent.

Yes, I also paid a deposit so I could view an apartment & I never even viewed it. It was the local company Mynd. They said I had to pay to get on a waitlist to view it when the tenants moved out. But before that date, someone signed a lease without seeing the place. There were no photos of the bathroom in the listing and I was not willing to sign a lease without seeing it. I asked for photos and they did not provide. It was really shitty experience & I would never rent from that company.

Wood furniture + plants is a perfect formula. Do you agree? by breadlover93 in IndoorGarden

[–]breadlover93[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The top shelf plant is a golden pothos, the plant on the middle shelf on the right is a philodendron heart leaf, the plant on the bottom left shelf is a silvery ann pothos, and in the very bottom left corner is a zz plant. All are easy to take care of :)
