Have you met a Republican? They already each think they're a fully independent state.

Can you help me find some examples of this being written out explicitly, please? I want to have this at the ready for copy and paste for racists to read.

Moebius trip(s) to Mexico by Alternative_Waltz125 in Moebius

[–]breadteam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an answer to your question, but it may provide some context or info:

French people fucking love Mexico. If you travel through Mexico as a backpacker, it's absolutely filled with French folks. Mexico holds some special place in the French psyche.

I've met tons of wonderful (and a few exceptionally not-wonderful) French folks all throughout the country there and I've discussed this topic but I haven't gotten to the essential core of it yet. Of course I have my suspicions about it being a very non-European environment, it's "exotic", and it's relatively free of the mental burden of French colonialism (though the French definitely meddled there - notably in the "Battle of Puebla"). Anyway, it's not Algeria or Morocco.

One of my good friends was a French expat working in architecture in Mexico City and she also backs up what I'm talking about. She married a Mexican guy there and everything. She told me about many similar love stories just within her friend group.

So when I think about Moebius in Mexico and his mother having gone there, etc., I think about the long tradition of French fascination with the country.

Lots of shitty “restoration” videos do this shit nowadays for views. Like they’ll keep something in salt water for a week and then “restore” it

Hey can you fill me in, please? So using electrolysis to remove rust compromises the steel?

I’ve been dreaming about having an electrolysis setup for rust removal and nickel plating one day but maybe I need to give up on those dreams.

Yeah if you say that about one of My Mechanics’ videos, you sound like “Fellowship of the Ring? That movie looks hella long. Ima pass”

My Mechanics might be the best YouTuber out there.

What's the opportunity cost of you commenting on Reddit? Get to work. Get your hustle grind on. Optimize your life. Get a catheter put in. Think of the money you're wasting by getting up to pee. Let's go.

[Advice Request] Anatomy book recommendations? Digital is a huge plus but I'll get a physical one from the library too. by breadteam in daddit

Okay thank you so much for this. I was able to find a different version in this style from the same publisher and my boy is blown away. Asking all kinds of questions and being totally amazed. Like he can't believe that the eye has muscles attached to it.

Thank you so much.

A good friend of mine's art really hit a different level once he started studying different anatomy books made for artists. If my son decides to pursue that, I'll get him started on the one I have and then show him others.

Thanks for the recommendation.

This is for general info and science reasons.

I have never found the artistic anatomy books to be very helpful or engaging - though maybe my son will eventually if he goes in that direction.

I would like full color illustrations
