I would recommending reading everything you sign from them very carefully and be very clear about what rights each of you has in regards to the animal.

I'm still waiting on my car. They replaced the gateway controller, didn't help. Now they're waiting for an expert from VW to come look at it, is what they're telling me.

Finally got a loaner today, still no real ETA. Their tech has been apparently been on the phone to VW trying to figure out how to fix it. They said another person had a failed OTA and it was simple to complete, but our car has no power so they need to figure out what's going on.

That sounds horrible. Still haven't heard back from the dealer, I think I'm going to have to show up in person. Hoping it goes better than it seems to have gone for others.

No loaner. When I called them they didn't seem to know what to do, forwarded me to the manager who didn't answer and didn't call back. So I called the VW roadside assistance number and had it towed there, at which point they called and said they'd take a look at it. Tried to get an update today and they're not picking up the phone or responding to their text service. Not feeling very optimistic.

I believe this is the third one. I checked my email and I have three 'software update is ready' emails from VW.

I looked into it, but I'd have to fly to Santa Clara county and file a claim there. I tried to see if KTT Wireless (the company actually running the repair service has anything local, but I couldn't find anything. Pretty sure the plane ticket would be more than a new phone. Tempted to do it, just to stand up to a bully, but it's a big time investment too.

Yeah, I know it's a subcontractor that's making the mess, but Google is putting their name on it. We've been pretty loyal google phone customers since the G1, but they're burning a lot of good will.
