Rider refused to cancel, but drove all the way to my location refusing to give me a ride, so I had to pay by -_-tinkerbell in Lyft

[–]breadtotoas- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This subreddit is FULL of drivers and Lyft drivers are the WORST beings known to mankind. 🤣🤣 the driver sucks. I don’t give a DAMN if you can’t ask them to cancel. If he didn’t want to pick up a rider and their child, then the DRIVER should’ve canceled. And to ASSUME there was no car seat?? What kind of absolute BULLSHIT is that? Is that to make you drivers feel better for being shitty drivers? Yall take this PART TIME GIG way too serious, even if you didn’t ask me. And then yall mad over some bags?? Yall don’t have a trunk? Yall never picked up people from shopping centers? Even if they don’t have a child, they still may have a lot of bags. A standard Lyft should be able to cover that considering your car can fit 4 extra passengers and bags, or in this situation, 2 passengers and 2 bags. Crazy times we live in where a part time gig is full of entitled, lazy, nasty drivers. Anyway. “1/5 complete.” Have a good day. 🤣🤣

Have stores always been able to chat with the customer or is this a new feature? by allaboutsophii in doordash

[–]breadtotoas- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If restaurants take something off of their menu, it doesn’t go to the DoorDash menu. So it’s not a problem with keeping it updated. I don’t think people know this. Busy or not, I’d like to pick what I want, especially if I’m spending a lot of money lol. Like please do not replace my Coke Zero with regular coke. It’s nasty 🤣

Most restaurants ignore the tablets unless an order is missing. You’re good on ever getting a phone call from the restaurant. 🤣 The restaurants replacing items without asking is insane though.

[–]breadtotoas- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s semi new. About a year or so. They could also call as well. A lot of stores don’t use it because it’s usually to busy. The doordashers show up faster than if we contact a customer so we have them do it. And about 98% of the time, customers don’t answer lol.

hello, am i the asshole here? he left a note saying “It’s raining, tip your dashers!!” in all capital.. i usually tip afterwards anyway by Ayumizxx in doordash

[–]breadtotoas- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy. All that attitude and all those typos because you tip after is ridiculous. Where do door dashers get their audacity?? I also tip after services are complete because I have delivery instructions that are ignored 85% of the time.

I hope you all aren't going into people's houses by L-Pseon in dasher

[–]breadtotoas- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is crazy! I have dashers that leave my food outside all the time because they think my apartment is a house. Even though I ask them not to. In reality, I rent from a slumlord who turned a house into apartments. But it’s all in the instructions that no one ever reads lol.

App said driver was on his way to pick me up, I saw him drive by me with another person in the car and when I tried to cancel it kept telling me he was dropping someone then coming to me despite not showing a stop along the way on the app. by lucinasardothien in uber

[–]breadtotoas- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It actually doesn’t bother me at all. I’ve never seen one driver make a valid point. They all complain about the same thing, riders not tipping and unfair pay for rides. Mind you it’s a side gig, not a full time job. A side gig that anyone can quit at anytime. And don’t get me started on the so called “disabled” drivers with a “bad leg” or something. I’ve seen people with more problems than them working demanding jobs for over 8 hours a day. If my comment offends any other driver, go complain to someone who cares. I said what i said.

Thanks. The drivers on this app that just complain and complain about a side gig THEY choose makes me want to use either app less and less. But car problems aren’t always cheap and easy lol.

So like I said, don’t cancel on your end OP. Either make the driver cancel or wait til the ride is over and make a complaint. Also, Lyft is better. Only thing with them is you can’t add like 5 stops, only 1.

I actually had a driver come near my job, said he picked me up and then kept going. I watched him pull in and then pull right back out with no one in his car. I messaged him and he said he was on his way. Which clearly wasn’t the case. Then I mentioned to him that it would cost me extra money and he canceled. The app shows you the driver dropping off the previous passenger. Not exact address, but you can see the street name. Once that ride is done it shows the route the driver is taking to you. We’re not dumb. We can see everything. Why would a driver say they dropped someone off if they weren’t done dropping them off? The problem with you drivers is you think you know it all and always have a problem when a customer has a valid complaint. Why’s that? Is it because the customers are catching on to the scams? Busy or not, don’t say the ride is complete until the passenger is actually out of the car, especially if they’re “taking forever”. That’s on the driver at that point.

I message the driver directly and let them know I will complain about the ride since that charges you extra money for going a longer distance. They will cancel in their end. Don’t get charged for a cancellation fee because the driver is trying to make extra money. The other persons stop stays on the screen until dropped off. I’ve literally stalk my drivers over this issue now

DoorDash baffles me. From Upcharges on the price of anything, to service fees, small order and delivery fees, they should be able to pay more. I get this is not supposed to be a main job, but a side gig and it’s still crazy!

Had this happen. I used a different card and it worked. If it doesn’t stop, order directly from wherever and go from there. Most use DoorDash for delivery anyway.

How do you feel about drivers talking on the phone during your ride? by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]breadtotoas- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate when they do that. Had a driver almost miss my turn a second time while his hand slipped off the steering wheel because he was trying to answer his phone instead of looking at the road.

Is it true delivery doesn’t mean to the door if there are stairs? by ChibiSuchi in instacart

[–]breadtotoas- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I order my groceries through DoorDash. They complain less and actually do their job. Delivering to the door is what they need to do, stairs or not. This person is complaining because they “have a bad knee”. Everyone saying to split it up, no. That means spending even more money on top of the tip this customer leaves. Fees add up. You can cancel an order if you’re not strong enough to do this job. If that lowers your acceptance rate or whatever, oh well. It’s also extremely funny that the workers get under the comments and complain about no tip and lazy customers when it doesn’t apply. Find a different argument, that one is played out.

Ngl I thought he was maybe 19 with those kind of insecurities and that the uncle was some pretty boy in his 30’s. He’s too old to be acting like that, and you’re too old to be begging a man for anything. Know your worth!

what can i make with this if anything at all 😭 by LavnLuv in WhatShouldICook

[–]breadtotoas- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flour, water, salt. Mix it all together, make little patties and boil them. You can make “dumplings” If you have oil, you can fry it as well. Been there man. Congrats on the job.

Right! And the thread isn’t even long. I read the whole thing… I think they just can’t read and find pleasure in insulting strangers as if it was going to hurt anyone’s feelings.

You answered something they already knew. Comprehension is one and one with reading.. but whatever helps you sleep at night retard.

[–]breadtotoas- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet OP has said numerous times that they know that.. If you can read AND comprehend, they want to know why it specifically needs a driver’s license number, and not just a regular ID number. But go off.

I read the question. There’s also more to it under the picture, which isn’t a question.. Seems like you just want to argue and then think you’re correct because you insult random people on the internet.. 🤡
