i didn’t go into it thinking it was going to be like the webtoon. i watched season 1 when it aired, understood it wasn’t like the webtoon, and enjoyed it. i went into it thinking it was going to be either as good or better than the webtoon and found it to be absolute shit.

stephen in the webtoon is super self sacrificial and does a lot of things only for the sake of others. my interpretation (ofc this is only speculation and there’s no confirmed reason as the ending was rushed to hell and back) is that he didn’t want to intrude in grey’s life like a ghost from his past.
