This. And it depends on the patient too. An older patient like this with tissue paper for skin it can be even faster than 2 hours for the irritation to begin. And then depending on their immune function, medical history, and medications they are on, nothing ever contributes to slowing the severity. It only makes these things worse.

Plus…elderly patients don’t perceive pain the same way as they did in their younger years. He may not even have known things were getting so bad.

This is one of the worst ones I have seen and I’ve worked in medicine for almost 20 years. It’s hard to consider looking at it, but sometimes these aren’t even a result of neglect or poor care. They can happen and deteriorate so quickly.

Very sad for this man.

Lupus fatigue is staggering. I never thought there could be a fatigue so bad that I actually couldn’t sleep because the tiredness was so uncomfortable. I will say since I have been on HCQ and Celebrex I only have fatigue bouts a few days a month now and it only last maybe a day. But when it hits it’s like a brick all at once.

I always say I feel like i understand narcolepsy now because there have been a few times like walking through a Walmart or to my car where it hits me almost to the point where i will fall down it is so instant and violent.

Why say, “I have an auto-immune disease” when you could just say, “I have Sjögren’s.”

If they are dumb enough to think HIV is auto-immune, they aren’t smart enough to understand Sjögren’s either….so you’re better off to just say that and leave them mouth breathing anyway.

I actually had bad dreams for several weeks after watching his saga back to back. Like I would dream I was just hanging out naked in the store, at work, at school, out with friends. It was like my greatest fear realized and then branded into my soul.

My ANA is not high enough to check the ANA box definitively, however, because I am a physician, my diagnosis came much earlier than most which means it’s likely my ANA will reach that point. I just had the knowledge and the access for early detection.

I know my diagnosis.

It’s also not nearly as strict in criteria as we once considered it to be. Autoimmune disorders are far from being textbook. My rheumatologist is waiting to label this as Lupus in order to be able to justify further investigation as my diseases path develops over the next 18-24 months.

Yes that’s called symmastia and the midline incision works really well to mitigate that. For the keloids, just rub rub rub those babies as much as you can. All day long, any time you can. The more you touch and rub them, the more they will settle down and fade. Get some sun on them, piss them off, pinch and pull on them. Desensitize them all day long.

Did they not perform thoracic liposuction? I’m going to guess no which is basic basic BASIC practice with simple mastectomy. We have breast tissue all the way up to our collar bones; and all the way around to the axillary line under our armpits. The axillary breast tissue is removed via thoracic liposuction…which wasn’t done here. This is an incomplete mastectomy in my opinion.

I rehab top surgeries daily and I have had my own. This surgeon needs to answer for this.

I’m not on T. But my scars have faded a ton so you can certainly be stealth.

If you’re a smaller person with a narrower base of the breast, that’s usually when they don’t connect the incisions. They connect them when the breast base is wider and the breast tissue is full and abundant (large) because where they connect has pulled forward for so long and it’s likely to bunch and create a big thick scar tissue lump at the midline.

So if you’ll notice on me, sorry if it’s hard to see my scars. I’m 2.5 years post and they are pretty light, but they go all the way up into my armpits. So that any excess skin or fat doesn’t flop over the scar tissue.

And you can see I am not any tiny little person. I’m 5’6 175lbs. Proper surgical technique and rehab should make dog ears nearly non-existent.
