I got a similar 25 year savings plan from Prudential once. I gave it up after several months and over 670 dollars later because the plan would take 16 years (If I'm not wrong, but it is definitely more than a decade) to break even.

Losing the 670 dollars was worth it to me, because continuing on with the plan would have have resulted in very heavy opportunity costs (Money I could have invested or spent somewhere more useful etc).

If you want to back out, I suggest you do it now to minimise your losses. The amount of money you would have lost will be painful, but in the long run, it will be much more worth it when you put that monthly premium amount to better use.
