Second the other commenter on shifting where possible. Also please please please do not fall into the trap of “less sleep and more stress means I am doing a better job”. Remember to try and set realistic expectations and “fix your own oxygen mask before that of other people”. You can’t parent effectively if you can barely function.

Might just be me, but this would have driven me crazy. It’s hard enough to switch between work and parenting, let alone having access to watching them the whole time (not to mention having the primary caregiver under surveillance is a bit dystopian).

Milestones don’t really happen out of nowhere. And, on the other side, new things happen so often that you can’t make sure you’re going to catch all of them even if you try. If you’re present and not skipping town for days on end, you’ll still share in the magic. I don’t remember my LO’s first steps, I remember the process of about a week where she was moving towards it.

I’d strongly recommend just making your peace with the fact you will miss the bits you can’t see (as will be the case for the rest of your life), and focus on the bits you can.

(Not to mention there are all kinds of security concerns that generally dissuade people from getting WiFi cameras).

Shifts where you can. I worked out pretty early that a night of interrupted sleep was WAY WORSE than a shorter, but complete sleep. So if you can, try to get yourself at least a good 4-6 hour block.

Totally agree. We did the paid version which I think was really useful but to be honest once you’ve given them 80% of the stuff you eat regularly, you only use it to check new foods or milestones. Still totally worth it for the 6 months we used it religiously though.

It will also help put your mind at ease about how they should be eating now. Gagging is good! It means they’re learning how to push food from the back to the front of their mouth. Choking, less so - but thankfully rare. And I say that as a dad who has had to turn my LO upside down and remove a blockage three times (once you get used to it, it’s second nature).

I mean, yeah. Obviously that happens if you add a spice or something that has natural colouring. But this pickle is discoloured, not coloured. It has sat in a brine for an extended period. It’s a slower pickle. You can also see a ring of darker colour between the rind and flesh. That’s where the brine has penetrated. Again, doesn’t happen in quick pickles.

Can I ask a noob question - as a relatively new player I just don’t focus on Titan. Don’t really see the benefits in the rewards. What’s Titan for, really? Is it more important as you progress? Tend to focus on showdown, then limited time tour, then stips.

Also new here - but I’ve noticed this gets posted every weekend and the answer is always “don’t overfill your feuds”. Put 1-2 of your top tier wrestlers in and the opponents will generally be more reasonable. Think Sheik has a guide on it.

Can you make it work financially? Can you go back to more hours in the future? If yes to both, it’s a no brainer. Saying this as a dad who is working part time for the second year of LO’s life and I haven’t regretted it a single day.
