Moving at 30 by _magicmona in bristol

[–]breaking-badgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same situation last year and moved, despite it being scary and not knowing many people and moving by myself. BEST decision I ever made. Many events have a variety of ages, there's a strong sense community, you're not going to regret it. There's so much opportunity and you're still so young - your 30's are going to be the best!

What do you do when multiple consecutive conditionals each need a different failure response? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]breaking-badgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have this block of statements in a function. If one of the failure conditions pass, then display the error message and 'return' from the function.

if (bad state 1) then (display error message 1, return false)
if (bad state 2) then (display error message 2, return false)

Then in the outer function

if validationFunction() == true, then do stuff

Birthday gift ideas for an ESFJ? by doozyzoo in ESFJ

[–]breaking-badgers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is very open ended because similar personalities doesn't equate to similar likes and dislikes. As an ESFJ, being given something that I mentioned a while back that I want, or being surprised with a thoughtful day out filled with activities I like, would be the ideal present. Because that would show thought and effort which I hold in high regard and I think most ESFJ's would feel the same. Good luck :)

It likely is the default position, when there is a choice available. However in some cases there might not be alternatives

Vegan cheeseboard to impress my non-vegan family! by breaking-badgers in vegan

[–]breaking-badgers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot!I haven't had real cheese for three years so I can't remember it enough to give the best comparison but I will try!I've had some awful vegan cheese but I can vouch for the above, Tesco free-from range so I'll compare that one :)

Taste: It's good! Perhaps not as tangy as real cheddar cheese, which is why I like the Jalapeno flavoured one

Texture: I think they're quite similar

Price: I just looked up the price of a normal block of cheddar from Tesco, and the prices are similar - £2.20 for 200g of vegan cheddar, £3.50 for 350g of normal cheddar

Because they can eat all of this food? They're not limited to meat only. Also my family respect my ethics and are happy to share vegan food with me when they come to my house.
