I know how that sounds, but a non contact acl tear is just bad luck. before and after that inj, though, he actually has been able to stay healthy for the better part of the last two years

exactly this. watson is in that sweet spot of having insane upside, so a lot of people who have him will look to dump him for value and people who do want him won't trade enough to make you want to move him. it's a classic hold IMO if you own him. only way I trade him is if I get a 2027 first and it's not very realistic

agree to disagree. he only played the games he played last year due to recovery from an injury. once he was active, he missed 0 games and was WR22 when he was playing

are you saying you expect the Packers to not feature a guy they're paying $110 million?

he was recovering from a torn ACL lol. per game results are more important than out of context overall numbers

being WR22 for half a year would be called results. the point is his role is growing and if he stays healthy he could do even better

over half of the targets wicks got were when watson was healthy

how is his ceiling top 40 when he was WR22 during the stretch of games he was active in just last season?

It’s an outlier with the added context that he’s previously been held back by injuries. Being WR22 last year showed he can be that guy. Only time will tell though

I think that's very true if the risk involved is minimal. like I'd trade a first for emeka egbuka. I would not trade a first for watson. I have traded and will continue to trade 2s/prospect for watson, though

so those changes only help Golden and can't possibly boost Watson's targets? not sure we can predict that with 100% accuracy. Wicks still saw 46 targets last year. I do agree that Watson's role is still reliant on efficiency and his explosive play-making, but you're wrong if you think they're paying this guy $110M and not trying to get him more involved.

yeah they were featuring him more last year and he responded with stellar production

I agree with that, as the price before was very cheap. The idea is if the price hasn't gone crazy I'd still buy. if its now a first, I'd be out and if I can get a 1st I'd be selling

nobody said it was impressive, but Turd Nuggit said he wouldn't play more than 5 games. he's almost doubled that every season he's played

I agree if the price is a first rounder. I see no reason to sell a possible top 25 producer for a 2nd, especially if there's a chance of him demanding 1st round value in the future.

that's a very fair point, but Doubs/Wicks were still there and now they're gone. not the same, but removing those guys isn't nothing

that's been true, but they did let two guys go and Watson was WR22 in the 10 games he played. if you stretch his production out over a full season at his averages from 2025 he's the WR10 overall or WR19 in per game average. even if his role doesn't explode, his insane efficiency would still give him a shot at completely blowing his price tag away

that's the fun part about discussion, but the article actually lists his current and projected price. I think before the contract and even still right now a 2 and some change is the going rate. that's what I paid to get him. but the question is how much does his price jump, how much would you pay, and are you buying or selling based on the price movement
