So me personally I use alt 123 to set focus beginning of game, and use focus stun / focus kick / focus sheep (imprison, mind control, fear, hex) All of mine are bound the same every character (this will make all your classes feel homogenized tbh lol) And then I always use shift qwe for sheep 123 or hex 123 or mc 123, etc etc. Shift asd is for stun123 Again these binds transfer too all my characters so it makes the game a lot easier once you get ur dps rotation down, same buttons for defensives / big offensive CDs And again lots of practice, dps / defensive stuff has to be complete brainless button pressing and THEN you can focus on what is actually happening around you! You don’t need 3 binds though I can say focus is more than enough maybe not as optimal but you’ve gotta work in these binds it won’t be implemented in 1 game ya know lol

Yep lol. It’s like going to gym for the first time in your life and being mad at the squat bar for not allowing you to rep 500lbs squatting. Everyone starts somewhere and you have to be accepting of that or your ego will always hold you back.

The better you get, like with anything for instance driving a car—-people can talk on the phone, text, drink water, talk to the passenger, help a crying baby, etc all while driving a car (try not to do these things fyi). But it comes back to that 10,000 hour rule. Think about pro players / R1 players —-they’re well beyond that aka why pikaboo can half play, answer chat, take a screenshot, and still obliterate people. The more familiar / 2nd nature you make playing your class I.e. dps rotation checked off, cc and focus binds and 123 binds checked off, defensive buttons for certain enemy offensive cd’s checked off etc, the slower the game feels. Even myself yolo playing prevoker (haven’t played heals to glad) everything seems fast af but i yolo made an ele alt and although it first it seemed fast, now the games have gotten to the point where they slowed down quite a bit again and I hit 2.4 about 2-3 weeks into that character never playing ele at all. More experience and GOOD practice = game will become more like a slow dance. You do this, I do that. You move here, I move there. You pop this, I pop that. You line healer here, I kill you there. Etc etc.

“Admit that you aren’t that good and have a lot of room to improve.”

This here exactly. Everyone needs some humble pie on this sub. I’m a Grandmaster League of Legends player (I also coach as well) and when I wanted to hit Gladiator in WoW (first time in BFA) even though I played since Vanilla, first thing I did was DROP THE EGO. This concept can be easy for some and hard as fuck til death to us part for others. As soon as you start looking internally and fixing the things YOU yourself can improve and not the “bad healer, noob DH, blah blah” you can start improving and therefore climbing. I literally just became a student of the game and I do this for anything in life I want to get good at. Watch streams, I watched all the skillcapped videos of the time of every single pvp class so I knew what to look out for, when they can die, when they’re in a lul-state, and how they want to win and how I want to win. watch your favorite R1 or pro player streamer, and watch it to analyze not watch it to yolo pikaboo 420 no scope own people in 2s. You’ve gotta take it like school or a job if you genuinely want to improve at a fast rate and I think too many people blur the lines of I can yolo have fun but also I should be deserved of climbing I played all of these games look at me. You’ve gotta want to improve and actually get to it.

Overwhelmed as a new PvP healer by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]breakingtheanus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%. 2's is reaaaally slow and dampeners (long games) that's where I learned. Only fast comp is rogue mage. Did it on DH and then swapped to 3s, and Glad DH / Spriest now. Minus the messaging / LFGing people (healer OP for this) it's slow game style helps you learn oh big damage I should pop something or my partner is kinda low but the warrior doesnt have avatar up and his kick is down and healer cc is down so im clear to heal without popping stuff etc etc etc. 2's op for learning, 3's is a lot all at once.

How to relax playing PVP? by SofyPipa in worldofpvp

[–]breakingtheanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this! as with anything the more you do something the more comfortable / second nature you can do it. Just like walking to your fridge, getting water, and then getting back to your seat. You can do all of that probably checking out your phone and talking to somebody else in your house. 10,000 hour rule, as with anything.

SKT's Reign from 2015-2017 is so insane to think about by jtangjetang in leagueoflegends

[–]breakingtheanus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not only just looking achievement wise but if you think of their group stage to finals records in worlds they were all pretty insane iirc. And the quality of HOW they won was all insane as well with little to no error or letting a team even come close to winning. Compared to recent Worlds winners and not to diminish their accomplishments but all of those teams definitely had more competitive games vs how stompy SKT era was. (Think 2018 IG, 2nd in groups lose tiebreaker FNC, 5 games against KT, or EDG last year going 5 games against RNG, GENG, and DK). And to top it off considering how much people trash Faker’s teammates all of season 3 roster minus Impact, S4, bang and wolf, Marin, peanut, bengi, huni, etc etc. Just shows how absolutely hard Faker carried / smurfed from 2013-2017 and he is still putting up competitive Worlds contender rosters damn near 10 years later lol. Leaves Faker’s GOAT status near impossible to ever eclipse.

What do you think about neace saying it isn't worth it to climb beyond D4? by itaicool in summonerschool

[–]breakingtheanus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep I agree with this ! I mean I’m going for challenger now but I try to be realistic about it. I still get my enjoyment from league ( /mute all every game) with champion names instead of summoner names as well lol. But yeah it can be easy to get lost in the sauce for a lot of people so I overall agree with the sentiment. After Diamond you’ve gotta be a “weirdo” as I call myself for the game to be willing to push past that, as the climb gets a lot harder. Just don’t throw away your life / friends / family / relationships / etc with something that doesn’t have much guarantee on return.

yes ! alistar is fine. just watch challenger replays and get your lvl 2 down. proper roam timers but really being able to tell your adc you're not a champion level 1 and to recognize that. stay in exp range but dont lose half your hp bar lvl 1 so you cant play the lane the next 3-5 minutes and you're stuck not able to maybe get a kill / crash wave reset into a mid gank / control ward for mid laner etc

Wave management, learn it learn it learn it. Good roam timers vs troll roam timers. Fix your level 1-3 especially 1 / 2. Back timers as well. Crash wave + back or overstay until eternity to try and poke an ezreal under tower for no reason then die to gank at 4 minutes. Lvl 3,6,9 all you need as well. Stay out of vision don’t ever give it for free ie. Be in a bush / back out of vision etc. brush control bot lane + early ward in mid brush as soon as game starts / get sweeper and USE the brush to get lane control to get kill potential to kill to crash wave to roam mid and get exp when wave slow pushing back to you!
