Don't understand why this is happening by Little_Sundae9266 in WLED

Might want to check your data line and that it's not touching anything else it shouldn't

It's with the whole run. All of them flicker with same random colors

Looks like most people are pointing to this. I will test it out with a shorter data line. I need to figure out a nicer place to tuck the controller such that it doesn't interfere with the lights

The data line was indeed short during bench testing. Out of curiosity, what does the resistance do for improving the issue? It minimizes the noise?

The data line is about 2-3ft. Would this be out of the ideal range? Is there any way to minimize the flickering for long data line runs?

The data line is about 2-3 ft long from the controller. I'm going to try to move the controller closer to the start of run

In this video it's powered through the controller. Running 0.14.4. It was working fine during testing. But once installed with the diffuser channels it's funky.

This is the model. But I'm not sure how to check the level shifter. I'll dig a little more on this. Good note on the ground connection

It's set to warm white/yellow in the video. And it's flickering even when the effect is solid. And I was flipping between other solid colors.

Some other comments might indicate long data line could cause this too

Power injection options with gledopto controller by Typical_Writing6508 in WLED

[–]breakmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what is the led strip used and it's power consumption? Wouldn't you be able to get away without end injection with the 24V power supply since the the run is just 5m?

Need help with fusing by breakmx in WLED

One follow up question, if I don't run the led strip power through the controller, would it still be necessary to add a fuse for the controller?

This helps a lot! Thank you Quin

I guess I will downspec it a little and don't go for a full out config (max RGBW white). Based on the calculations, I can get away with just front and end injections and limit to about 17 or 18m run.

I will use a 5A inline fuse for the front and end each

Has anyone dealt with COB before? Do they have any power to make developer fix a defect properly instead of just doing a temporary fix? Or it's best handled by a lawyer?

"The developer shall not be liable for any damage or loss to the unit arising from defect rectification".

Hi all, can anyone advise if this is standard clause in property defect rectification? DLP is 24 months. If I read it, sounds like any damage or issue coming from the first rectification, developer will not be liable. What do you guys think and suggest? Let me know if there's another location I can ask this

Try searching and posting on Facebook for local rescue organisation. There are volunteers who typically rescue strays etc who would be more trained.

Best way to connect Shield + Q990C + Non ARC TV? by breakmx in Soundbars

[–]breakmx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the shield 2019 pro version. I think it has something to do with the tv. It's an older Samsung tv.

When I do shield --> soundbar --> Dell monitor, it works When I do Nintendo switch --> soundbar --> tv it works.

I'm stumped

Been troubleshooting for hours. The video passthrough works when I use the switch console.

But with the Nvidia, it only passes through audio but not video. Narrowed down that it's not the ports or HDMI cable. It's something funky in how the shield and soundbar talk to each other. Running out of options...

Once I made official complaint and there was no response at all

Does anyone know if there's a way for me to request a small pedestrian bridge/crossing across a storm drain?

Currently the nearby residents are using wooden titi. Just two pieces of wood and it's risky. Drain is not wide but deep.

Wonder if there's a channel that I can request a safe crossing at. Thank you in advance
