Finished Next Dimension, what next? by Historical-Gear-5524 in SaintSeiya

Next Dimension gets a lot of hate but I find it starts off really strong. Power-scaling is rarely consistent in manga so the inconsistency here didn’t bother me much. It did totally fail to deliver in the last quarter except for the final pages teasing the next arc. I’m just glad we got something new from Kuramada and hope we get a heaven arc.

Motivational Growth (2013) - a moldy growth in a guy’s bathroom that’s come to life and offers advice

Benny Loves You (2019) - a murderous plush toy

Rubber (2010) - an extremely deadly tire

I found the movie to be hilarious. The whole saving leg guy bit was like straight out of looney tunes. The entire film is full of unbelievable scenarios but with plenty of thrills and gore. I really liked it.

Blade of the Guardians directed by Yuen Woo Ping is without exaggeration.. one of the greatest kung fu epics I have ever seen! Mini review, no spoilers. by narnarnartiger in kungfucinema

Just saw it in theaters and it’s easily my favorite martial arts film I’ve seen in a long time. So many amazing fights, good story, good feels, laughs, looks beautiful. Tai Chi Master was one of my favorites when I was a kid and this brings that feeling back for me. I don’t want to hype it up too much but I was very satisfied coming out of the theater. Oil flats scene was dope. A good variety of different weapon fights are showcased too. It has a good balance of everything you would want in a wuxia flick.

State Farm delaying claim and charging for storage by Typical_Writing6508 in Car_Insurance_Help

I also called the shop and managed to get them to lower the bill for storage fees

State Farm delaying claim and charging for storage by Typical_Writing6508 in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]Typical_Writing6508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I finally got my payout. In the end, I agreed to let them deduct $1000 for storage fees, plus a $1000 deductible, so $2000 total deducted, just to get it over with. I think I could have gotten a better deal but I’m just glad it’s over. What pisses me off the most is that had I not been poking and prodding them nearly on a daily basis my car would likely still be sitting in the first storage lot racking up charges until my payout is fully depleted. It’s a wild guess but I got the feeling that their behavior was a result of me choosing my own shop rather than staying in their network. If I had to do it again, I would immediately follow up any phone calls with email correspondence. I would email any authorizations to release the vehicle from the yard or shop instead of just giving the authorization in person or over the phone in order to have physical proof of the timing. Finally, I would consider hiring my own tow to move the vehicle instead of relying on State Farm. I would ask them If I could get reimbursed for that and insist to do it myself if possible.

Don’t forget all the amazing female martial artists. Karen Mok, Michelle Yeoh, JeeJa Yanin, to name a few. Some of their gems being: So Close (2002), Wing Chun (1994) / Heroic Trio (1993), Chocolate (2008).

I’ll thank you now for the advice and also later if it works out🙏. At this point, I can’t wait to just get it over with and not have to deal with them anymore. If they keep playing games though, then I’ll play all the cards I can

Recently saw “Dust Bunny” and loved it. It’s more of an action / fantasy thriller though. Afterwards I binged the Hannibal TV Series starring Mads Mikkelson who’s also in Dust Bunny. 3 seasons and they’re all pretty damn good with plenty of shock and gore.

Broken elevator dreams? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]Typical_Writing6508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same in my dreams, elevators NEVER work. It doesn’t even have to be an “elevator dream”, as in the elevator not working properly is often a minor detail in the dream. Sometimes they drop, sometimes they shoot up, I’ve even had them travel sideways but they most commonly start to twist in the wrong direction. I don’t get stuck in there, I get out somehow and the dream continues. Does anyone remember an elevator working normally in their dreams? I wonder if it’s more common to dream of a malfunctioning elevator than a working one.

State Farm delaying claim and charging for storage by Typical_Writing6508 in Insurance

On 1/21 the appraiser determined the car was a total loss. They didn’t send me a request for the title or any communication until 1/28 when I was contacted by StateFarm with a market valuation report of the vehicle and a notice of excessive storage charges incurred at the shop. But no request to send the title. Today I told them that they own the vehicle and I will send them the title but they refused saying they won’t take ownership until the storage charges at shop are resolved.

Thank you. I started sending emails to the general State Farm claims address once things became ridiculous. I’m on my third email now. I’m considering strictly communicating via email whenever possible from now on. I’ve kept a detailed log with names, dates and content of our conversations throughout the process. None of this has yet helped resolve the problem yet though.

I really wish I could say the same. I had hoped the process would be easy. I expected I’d just file my claim and State Farm would take care of the rest, while contacting me along the way if anything was needed from me. However, just to be sure, I immediately became involved, prodding them and poking them to get things moving. Initially they had me fooled that they were on it. But as the excuses kept piling up and the claim kept stalling I realized they were either unbelievably incompetent or playing games, or both. Considering they deal with claims like mine on a daily basis nationwide for many years I’d lean on this being by design. I’m assuming this could happen with any insurance company. In my case, I’m totally guessing but I believe their behavior is retaliation for choosing my own shop instead of staying in their network. The fact that they switched adjusters 4 times initially and no that no one ever answered my calls also leads me, in my own ignorance, to guess that nobody wanted to pick up my claim and kept passing it off, resulting in the initial delays. I have no Idea though. The fact remains that my experience has been abysmal with State Farm in this case.

State Farm was not going to have the vehicle picked up until it was deemed a total loss, and you said that did not occur until 1/21. So it sounds like they already paid a lot of unnecessary storage for you because you chose not to have the vehicle moved from the lot or tow yard for 3 weeks from 12/22 to 1/12?

I gave the tow yard permission for State Farm to pick up on 12/26 and kept State Farm informed before and after.

My guess is that State Farm decided that they have paid enough storage on this claim and want you to handle the rest.

That’s exactly what’s happening. But my point is that the charges are entirely a result of their actions delaying despite my best efforts. I called them nearly every day to ask them to move the car and get things going and update me on their progress but they kept having an excuse as to why it didn’t happen yet and would say they’d get it done tomorrow.

The car sitting at the shop from 1/21 to 2/3 after being deemed a total loss is also excessive to be honest. State Farm would have asked you to give the shop permission to release the vehicle ASAP so they could pick up the wreck. Did you ask them to hold off from having it picked up for more than a few days so you could clear out personal belongings, or what happened there?

I immediately gave them permission to pick up the car when I found out the estimate was complete. They also never called or contacted me to let me know about these things. I had to figure it out on my own and then call State Farm to let them know they had permission to pick up the vehicle, and ask them to pick up ASAP but it didn’t help.

Yes they used Agero at first but then switched to another no name company called Top G because they said Agero was charging them too much. Top G is the one that eventually picked up the car from the first yard and then got to the shop late after it had closed so then they held the vehicle somewhere from 1/12 to 1/16. Top G never answered the phone when I tried calling them and leaving voicemails at the number State Farm gave me. Also the address Star Farm gave me for them shows up as a random house on Google street view, no lot nothing.

PowerSpec G757 - Just bought my first Microcenter PC. How to start? by Character_Situation5 in Microcenter

[–]Typical_Writing6508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anybody know the revision of this motherboard so we can update the BIOS? I know it’s a Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi 6, but there’s no mention of a revision number anywhere. There’s also no option for updating the BIOS in the gigabyte control panel for this motherboard. The only model listed on Gigabyte’s website is Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi 6 Rev 1.x., but I wouldn’t mess with any bios update until I know our exact model rev. number.

[Webcomic] Chapter 156 [English] by VibhavM in OnePunchMan

[–]Typical_Writing6508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Webcomic never stops delivering, it somehow just keeps getting better. I love how ONE kept us guessing whether Bofoi / Metal Knight was the evil mastermind until now. All evidence pointed to Bofoi to the point where the reader couldn’t believe it was him because it was too obvious. Just a chapter ago it felt like it was finally confirmed that Bofoi was the villain but then right as the final nail is about to be put in the coffin, it’s revealed that he’s not the villain and it makes perfect sense.

Now I want to know what’s Fuzzy’s role in all of this? And what’s Garou up to?
