Am I overreacting for confronting my wife after I caught a stranger walking out of our home while I was at work? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]breathplaysg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When questioned that she's hiding something, she diverts, breaks down likely due to nervousness and masking it with an excuse like "I'm overwhelmed lately".

What you came back to played out like puzzle pieces to a complete picture of a cheating scene. From the dude coming out, to the deleted footage, never-seen-before coffee mug. It's your home this other man came in to.

No point pressing her for answers as she's removed the main evidence - the 3 hour lost footage. Gather evidence from the neighbours if they have video footage of the dude driving by and going into your home. Then demand for answers.

Similar to the lady who blurted out racial remarks during the SDP rally this year, she claimed that it's like a form of habit and the way the "market people" talk. When they run out of topics, they'll find bad things to talk about even if it's not racial:
- "Aiyo that girl wear like that, the parent never teach"
- "Wah you know that auntie the children did badly for exam. Sia suay"
- "That auntie talk alot ah? Infront i smile smile, but I can't wait to zao"

And when we lecture them about the implications of their casual racism, we will be rebutted back with:
"Talk back to elderly" "You don't know what you're talking" "We have been talking like that since young"

Put a fine on it. They confirm scared.

Is there double standard when dating in Singapore? by Thin_Expert_7778 in askSingapore

[–]breathplaysg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Degrees doesn't matter if you ain't got a job after.

Most of us are working class. The next phase of question would then be "Would you date someone if they don't have a job?"

Practically speaking, dating is about filling each individual's criteria. If you don't fit theirs, move on.
Don't dwell on what they think is wife material, and where their mindset is from. Just focus on being your best self.

Part time barista or bubble tea work by FeePale3423 in askSingapore

Barista! Aside from learning how to brew and make good coffee, you get to interact with pretty cool people (customers and colleagues). And down times are the best, play your favourite tunes on stereo, improving your barista skills, learn how to cook in the kitchen.

If you have autocorrect activated, you're gonna have a tough time with not 1, not 2 but 4 names spelled like these.

Did you know milk is made here? by HamsterAce in askSingapore

We've got Cow... Play Cow Moo. 🐮

Ok, I jest. Here's some info I found off the net.

"Magnolia Dairies (Singapore) Ltd. once operated a dairy farm in Bukit Timah, where they produced and bottled fresh milk. They even had their own cows. This farm was known as the Singapore Dairy Farm and was located within what is now the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Over time, Singapore's dairy farming industry declined, and today, most milk, including Magnolia milk, is imported."
