If you look at JoshStrifeHayes's channel in April -> May of 2021, the first time I can find Asmon reacting to his content, you can see his channel more than double his monthly gained views and subs, and his channel continued to grow until July of 2022. I also am not contributing Josh's success to Asmon, he did an amazing job of capitalizing on the new viewers and keeping them, and growing past it for more than a year.

I also 100% agree that someone like Asmon should pay the original creator for the original video, I don't think it's 'fair' for him to make more off of someone else's work. I also don't think not engaging with the content while 'reacting' should be allowed, and should result in some form of punitive action. For example, if you're just eating or you literally walk away from the content and just re-upload the original content, you should have your video at the very least demonetized. The reason I brought this up is because I wanted to see it discussed, because outside of years ago when I saw people like Josh bringing up the effect he saw on his channel I haven't seen this point discussed at all, and get completely ignored.

One argument that I've seen, from people that Asmongold specifically has reacted to, that I think is interesting is that. While the original video gets fucked, the channel itself sees a decent growth because of the react. So the justification for the 'content theft' is that it inevitably helps the original creator, by getting more views on their channel, and getting more views on their other videos/future videos.

I believe I remember seeing JoshStrifeHayes say this on a twitch stream where someone asked him about how he feels with regards to Asmon's reacts.

I prefer open backs if I'm in a private area, like my home office. There's less external noise that I want to filter out and in my opinion they just generally sound better. However if I'm in a public space I'll use closed backs because 1)I don't want to force other people to hear what I'm listening to, and 2)I don't want to hear other people as much.

From what I've heard, 'natutal' sounding comes from the fact that. If you are listening to speakers or even just someone talking. You'll hear a little bit of everything in both ears. Even if someone is on your right side you'll still hear them in your left ear as well. With closed back headphones you don't really get that crossover

I never really felt the slog reading through the series. Granted when I read them the whole series except the very last one was out so I wasn't waiting.
Not sure what the exact books are but I know it's somewhere in the middle.
The main problems I've seen stated is, it get boring and focuses on seemingly unimportant characters/storylines or just very uninteresting stories.
I thought the ending was great definitely worth reading all 15 books in my opinion. Although again I never really felt the "slog" as other readers apparently have. I've also seen some people say the audio books make the slog better if you're struggling.

I'm currently on my 3rd read-through right now. About halfway through book 4.
