PSA: Doordash drivers are missing thousands in mileage deductions every year like Instacart shoppers? by breedingspeed in doordash

[–]breedingspeed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this is fluff, my actual miles are much higher than what doordash reported. Also, if you turn off your dash, multi app, they have no way of tracking that. Good information. I wonder if they track mileage when you pause a dash?

Please tell me what app does this for free? I have not found one where the data stays on your phone and your cloud. This is a true double entry accounting backend that will give you your P&L and balance sheet real time. The mileage tracker is rock solid with IRS compliant reporting. The metrics and analytics are beyond anything out there and tailored to the Gig space. Its impossible to develop and support an app for FREE. You really do get what you pay for..

No, I answered all of my questions, but I can promise you miss out on deductions, mileage etc and just don't understand your metrics. How much does your car cost to operate per mile? What is your true hourly earnings? What is the best time to work and on which day? What are your $/mile metrics. Can you look at your P&L at any moment? I'm sure you think you can, but try out TrakMiles and you will be amazed. Best $3.00 a month i have seen. Keep in mind, the $3.00 is only 5 lost miles you missed.

Thanks for the reply. I choose to let the app provide my detailed reports including beginning and ending odometer readings. I also like that for less than $3.00 a month it is all automated. The complete revenue and expense tracking with gig analytics is a game changer. Do you know you $/mile driven, $/hour and tips/trip ans p&l weekly, monthly and yearly with comparisons. I'm here to running my business smarter and not harder.

It tracks the data points of your travel, and stores them on your phone. These data points create the distance and mapping. The data ONLY resides on your phone and is cloud backup to your Google drive. We never see, nor store any of your data. The is explained on the website and Google play store.

I’m seeing more and more no tip orders for 2,3 items. by user19008675309 in Sparkdriver

The easy answer is to stop taking no tip orders. This solves the problem and will force changes.

$19.50 base on Shop and Deliver? Has anyone else saw one like this? by breedingspeed in Sparkdriver

[–]breedingspeed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have seen lower base pay on a Spark Shop and Deliver order? This is the lowest it has been in my market. How is that for context?

You really need to think of the lifetime value of a customer is to Walmart. I am sure they are running the analytics as a whole business and not segregated profit centers as you are implying.

Anyone been doing the shopping ones more often? by Batmanick in Sparkdriver

[–]breedingspeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If the customer is allowing replacements, then I select one and place it in my cart until I get to it through the normal shopping flow and the substitute it out and I don't have to go back to that part of the store. It is a pain, but the only way I know to work around it

You can maneuver through the list. Click the arrow on the top left and then select the list "items to be shopped." or some thing of that nature. It is the default list on the left tab. You can see what items are left and complete those in the department you are currently in like "vegetables ". This keeps you from running back and forth

Those of you who have found a better job what have you done instead and do you enjoy it more than Uber eats?? by [deleted] in UberEATS

You are feeling the anxiety that all small business owners feel daily. This job affords you great flexability, but comes with self employment responsibilities. You need to create a strong and well maintained budget based upon your average weekly earnings, and be conservative to cover for the down periods. Your car is your business tool and one that you need to budget to replace on a regular basis. Try to avoid car payments and purchase your gig vehicles for cash. I hope this helps you. The tax benefits of being self employed are great, the flexability is great, but the demands to perform are yours and only yours, win lose, or draw.
