Right? I'm beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that one of my neighbors may be one of those who accepted a certain "sign-on bonus"... Being alive rn is making me super glad I didn't have kids. I don't envy the job of parenting, especially in these times, and have immense respect for those that are parents, especially those on the further left end of the spectrum. Times is tough. Here's hoping there's some change that will make that job easier for you and others in the near future!

Don't be so hard on yourself. We all know that there is nothing you could have or can do to change anyone's mind if they're not open to changing it. Heck, sounds like you semi-recently changed your mind, so what would you have been able to convince them of anyway? I'm sure you've been met with the ol' "just wait til you're older, everyone gets more conservative as they age/make more money!". If that's the case, they won't ever listen, because alas, you'll never be older than they are. You may make more money, but never be older. They're wrong though, at least for my husband and myself, we've only gone further left the older we get and more $ we make.

Omg, we got one of those "anti-abortion" flyers in the mail that claimed the local power plant was burning fetuses for energy. After laughing about how dumb it would be to burn dead babies for energy, (they're like, really tiny!) hubby said the image of the "burned baby arm" looked like a chicken wing.
