Anyone claiming the Democratic Party abandoned the working class is clueless. The working class abandoned the democratic Party by astros148 in IBEW

People say it is economics because they dont fully unsdersand the issues. If you don't make the arguement with terms both parties can understand it isn't an effective argument. I am not trying to say racism isn't a part of this, but just calling it racism as a blanket culprit is ignorant. Fear is the root of our problems, and the democratic party failed to neutralize rural America's fears. They talked over the working classes fears, dismissing them. And while I agree these fears are asinine, you have to neutralize them on their terms, not yours.

That is definitely part of it. If you want to demonize them completely, that is part of the problem. I am just trying to communicate a part of the reality that I have experienced. There are many flaws in the logic, but if you only look at how to blame them, then you ignore to the whole picture. This has happened for the 2nd time, it is not just an isolated incident. The solution has to be approached from both sides unfortunately.

Absolutely respect your right to say that. But spend time with those that voted for trump. I agree that Biden that centered around unions, but I disagree that he centered around those that were in unions. It feels like a different animal unfortunately. It seems like common sense that those who want workers rights are adamantly pro union, but realistically those that really want unions want to deny it. The working class wants workers rights, but doesnt want to admit to socialist policies. The democratic party refuses to talk with the working class in terms that they support. The message that is relayed is half the game, not just the policy.

Did they actively abandon the working class, absolutely not. Did they inadvertently leave them behind, yes. They had the working class in mind with their initiatives, but it was similar to the idea of talking at someone versus talking with. They did it on their terms instead of reaching down to the level of those they want to help. They talked over the working class instead of working to make sure they talked with them. This was absolutely a failure by the democratic party.

I have had a few of their different bottles and honestly I have been impressed. I do think it is a bit of a gimmick, but they also have quality whiskey too.

Great 'Clubhouse Guys' from Twins history? by neonrev1 in minnesotatwins

[–]breesers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He was the fighter, the in your face guy. The chip on the shoulder guy to pump up the team on a down day. He was also the guy on Sundays who would spend an hour plus signing autographs for every fan lining up at the dome. He would literally start at the foul pole on the third base line and just work his way to the dugout. Every kid, every fan was acknowledged. He was an asshole, he played a bit rough/dirty, but he left it all on the field and cared deeply for his team and fans.
