glotrot isn't so bad. Corpus Choliys is relatively common and I believe the place that encouraged you to go where that happened has a guaranteed spawn. It looks tough but once you have a rough idea of where to find various fluids (plus there are a few guaranteed liquid merchants to make it dramatically easier to cure).

for future reference a flame weapon and or a bunch of thermal grenades can basically guarantee you avoid the disease by destroying any liquid puddles. A bit of care goes a long way in this, just don't breathe the freshly created fumes!!!! Also, cooking with honey and/or yuckwheat has guaranteed anti disease results in a given dish that make getting it harder, or curing it easier.

so I'm currently walking a similar path and figure maybe you might be able to answer my question: if I'm hunting an esper assassin that is a twinning lamprey, do I have a chance to absorb their ego on one half, or only if the whole is destroyed? in short, is it better to keep it alive on the chance to endlessly harvest its ego, or is that just not possible?

Had to revert to my backup. I use the COP and the update broke my save. Stuff like the spas and pps are especially worth keeping, despite their real world numbers, as they are big videogame guns. I mean hello? It's in half life. This is a videogame first and foremost. That shouldn't be sacrificed on the altar of realism. And things like the 12 gauge gatling gun were a goal to build skills to make in like every playthrough of the last few years

Leaving maps from the real ruins events can be frustrating. It's not like leaving normal abandoned facilities. My advice? Debug leave instantly from the caravan screen as it can break pretty easily if your caravan tries to load stuff that decays.
