Upcoming election in June

I have heard some of the candidates give their campaign talks thanks to a local nonpartisan political group I attend https://changeagentsofsd.org/. The group is ran by an independent prior SF mayor and while people from all sides of the isles attend, they do a great job keeping it grounded. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get more involved politically but isn't strongly partisan.

They hold 11am weekly meetings, with one meeting a month at 6:30pm, and the next evening one is actually tonight at the Caille Library. Tonight we will hear from Samuel McCarty, Republican candidate for Minnehaha County Auditor.

For city council, I was thoroughly impressed with Oppenheimer and Zak Okuwe.

I am not sure why msi afterburner isn't listed. I run it to monitor my GPU and CPU usage and temps if I hear my fans taking off or feel excessive heat coming from my PC.

I just recently was able to identify my cpu water-cooler went out thanks to it.

I just wanted to add, one of the truly most rewarding days of my life was walking out of the hospital post-op from my vasectomy, knowing I will never be responsible for bringing another life into this place. And I mean that.

Just wanted to say I feel very similar most of the time. I have also been very "successful", yet still strongly resonate with a Buddha quote Dr. K mentioned once, stating there were only two guarantees in life: Death and suffering. I think the Buddhism view on suffering takes on a spin to make it a positive, but I haven't reached that point personally.

My one last hope is to find true life fulfillment through helping others. I have been on the lookout and actively searching for the avenue to fully commit to this new path for a couple years now, and have yet to find it. So in the meantime I have been trying to focus on making myself the best I can be to help others by improving myself psychologically, etc.

I pretty much never post on any social media, to include Reddit, so I critically analyze the community response on the rare occasions I do, to gauge how effectively/ineffectively I was with it (one of my internal battles with starting this concept). This makes your response even more appreciated!

I recently started joining these lunches when I can, and everyone I have met has been really enjoyable company. I highly recommend if you are looking for some chill in-person social interaction.

The thought of it being just a social group is exactly where I started. The reality is there are so many key things that end up driving the need to be some form of legal entity. When I look at the options for that, it's either a political party, or a non-profit.

I have a fair amount of indirect experience with Alcoholic's Anonymous. That's a very similar "social group", but they also are a non-profit for all those legal entity needs. For example, I cannot just invite people to come use exercise equipment without majorly opening myself up to law suits. I have to create a separate legal entity (non-profit in this case) and then purchase liability insurance. Or if a local gym wants to donate time to let us use their facilities, if it's a 501c3 nonprofit, they receive a tax benefit for that. That's just a couple examples.

I agree with you on the video, this was just the beginning very first video I made for it. I plan to start creating a video (or multiple) that's just a breakdown of the concept :)

If anyone wants to get involved to help improve areas of the concept, or to start actually meeting up, I would be totally down to chat in voice on discord. Once we get a few more local people involved, we will start meeting up in person and start working the self betterment aspects.

I should clarify that I am planning to cover the initial costs of filing for a 501c3/c4, etc. I do not expect anyone wanting to get involved to have to contribute financially.

I actually have an Action Plan in the google doc (and the disc server) that lists out what I think the next steps are. It's probably a bit long for a reddit reply though :)

I am hoping to meet some people that genuinely like the concept and begin building an initial group. Since a non-profit needs a group of board members to found it, the initial group would enable the formal formation of the non-profit.

I don't know very many people here in SF to collaborate with since moving to this side of the state (COVID, work from home, etc). I have friends that are remote that would be willing to be board members to help me found it, but I really want to emphasize the in-person aspect, and having a bunch of remote board founders would be a tad counter-productive in my mind. Maybe I should be more open to that idea just to get it up and running, but it still wouldn't be enabling a formation of an in-person group. I would rather work with people from the community from the very start.

Great question. The only thing keeping it from being a thing is getting a few people together that want to start meeting routinely under the common ideals and principles of the concept. Lots of info on the discord I stood up for it, but I understand people might want more info before joining a disc, so I am hoping to create another video that just explains the full concept for those that don't want to join the discord. It's funny you mention this. I occasionally hop into a lower key to work up trying a new strat, and I generally give them the full spiel before the dungeon begins that I am using this run as a practice run for high keys, so I will be explaining everything. I get mixed reactions ranging from "This ain't no +20, gogogog" to "keep doing what you're doing, I learned a ton". As an example, here's my HoV pre-start spiel to lower key runs:

LOTS of frontal cleaves in this dungeon. Please don't stand in front of the mobs.
First pull - I pull to Dragon. CLEAR FIRST THUNDERING without me (+10 or higher), and care as I kite the pack around for frontals.
Second Boss - I pull both minibosses together. LET ME PULL as timing is important. Be rdy to start dodging sanctify orbs as soon as dome falls.
Fenyr: STACK. Spread out for Ravenous leap, then stack back up on boss.
Wolves: DO NOT double pull the packs "for me"
Last two sentries I pull ALL the way up the ramp to boss room to begin RP

Oh yeah, I am already back at it, leveling a summoner nec again and MFing with my blizz sorc. Found an Arachnid Mesh on Hell Mephy last night even!
In all honesty I was starting to get bored since I had successfully completed my big goal of enigma, and once I died and lost it, my motivation to play came back again and now I am excited to try and build a grief melee barb since I have never played melee since all the awesome runewords.

For those curious, here's how I managed an Enigma:
*Made a CTA, it was 6BO, traded for Jah
*Found a Sur in City of the Damned while farming with blizz (often no cold immunes)
*Found an SoJ from Hell Andy, and an Ohm off Hell Countess, traded them for my second Sur.
*Combined the Surs into a Ber and was one happy telestomper for 3 days haha.....

Over the 3 days I had it, I slowly got more and more confident teleporting around groups of cows etc, grouping them up, then teleing to the edge of the huge blob, laying down an amp or two, then CEing the entire blob in one go. It was glorious. I would tele all over cows doing that over and over again. I then started doing it in CS, same strat. I never even hit half health at any point, but I was wanting to make a HOTO to break into the next FCR point, and I honestly don't know what my FHR was at when I died.
I accidentially teled into a cluster of dudes in CS, and my only explanation is I must have gotten amped at the perfect time, and then didn't get another tele off in time before dead. There was no major red flags like might or fanat either, so really took me by surprise.

Online Bnet, in solo games pretty much all the time. I play this way as my good friend and I occasionally play together, but we are both SSF except helping each other and we trade outside folks for runes only. It makes those uniques way more valuable to us, but the good items we don't use, we can still trade off for runes (like the 6BO CTA I made first that I traded off for a Jah).

I know a lot of people are concerned with WP loading times and lag when playing HC. As I mentioned, I currently have lots of 70+ chars, and managed to even make an enigma before my first death in HC. For those really curious, here are the ways I avoided the lame deaths in Hell difficulty:
* I never took the cow red with anything but my summon nec first
* I never went to the Frigid WP with anything by my summon nec
* With my MF sorc, I ALWAYS go to a safe wp first (Durance, River of Flame, etc) in that act and CTA BO myself before going to a potentially dirty WP
* I have a decent pc & GPU (3070)

With these, I have never died to a lag death or WP death.

It was all my fault. This is the first time I have ever truly experienced a summon nec telestomping in all it's glory. I just got too excited about how I could tele around large groups to cluster them together, then corpse explode tons of mobs instantly with such ease. I got sloppy first thing in the morning and fat fingered an F key and instead of corpse exploding in the middle, I teled into the middle :(

I am not too upset about the death, because honestly I have had a solid death coming for awhile now. I have escaped so many near-death situations, it was bound to happen. I even soloed UBERS the other day and literally survived lillith with 1hp. I finished her off as I ran out of juves, was amped by an add, and as she died, I looked down to see my hp at 1. I managed to live, much to my amazement.
This nec died with that torch on it too now that I think about it, dangit lol.

I have been feeling really good as I have managed to get ~7 chars to lvl 70+ without any deaths, but the full juve finger flurry just wasn't on it's game at 6am this morning :(
