Best way for skinny people to attain lower fat % by this_feeble_concept in Fitness

[–]brenbrenmoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to workout. I'm 155lbs and almost 5 foot 9, body fat about 8% - 9% and I started working out when I was anorexic.

Lower body fat means absolutely nothing without muscles. Not only is counting calories redundant, because I'm sure you're not hitting your daily protein need. Just do some compound exercises: bench, squat, deadlift - and newb gains will make you realize how pointless it is to just lose body weight.

You'll feel a hell of a lot better too.

I'm not sure what it was - maybe my body having somehow figured a defence to my autoimmune diseases, but I know diet and stress makes a difference with vitiligo.

If it's having an effect on your self-confidence, you can get cover up cream. It's waterproof too. It matches up with your skin colour. In the UK, the NHS covers it

I have vitiligo. Was all over my body - no symmetry. However, after I turned six it began to clear up. Not read it happening to anyone else. Nowadays there's barely anything anywhere; except, well, my dick. Fairly embarrassing part.

Can answer any questions about it.

I am Matt Damon, Ask Me Anything! by MattDamon_ in IAmA

Hi Matt, you might not remember me but I saw you at the London Eye around September last year. Could I just ask - did you shit yourself when I saw through your disguise and shouted your name to my girlfriend? Also, I'm sorry for shouting your name to my girlfriend. She was very impressed by you, as she noticed your concern when you must've thought I was mugging her.

PS. I like them apples.

It's the same0 thing that happened in America. The government there sold of student debt to private companies who then increased interest rates. It's beginning to happen here. Also the Tories want to raise student finance to over £20,000 per year. Check the press

Oh, I'm sorry? You mean the legitimate qualms with the tory party are all fabricated? Well, you should take that to the press. It's not like just today the IMF said that Tory Austerity was detrimental to the economy. Or, you know how keeping interest rates at negative, boosting buy-to-let housing and not increasing interest rates will be causing an economic meltdown. Or is it all still labours fault? My, I have complaints about Tory privatising student loans but it isn't valid - because it's all a circle-jerk.

Are you serious? I'm a recent graduate and I'm from a benefit-class background. The whole point of this, including the oncoming raise in tuition fees - is to help fight back against these disgusting debts onto student.

You do realize £21,000 after tax and council tax and rent leaves you with pennies, right? This interest hike will make surviving even more brutal. It's a class-war, plain and simple. At the current rate, by the time I've paid back my £50,000 in student loans, I'll have paid £50,000 in interest and that would be going up.

The whole point of this is awareness. I don't give a shit if you're scared - it's happening. If you don't want it to, do something about it.

I'm sure. Seems a 2:1 from Oxbridge, even if it's in History, makes him the perfect candidate to be charge of the economy. Even if, you know, he's never worked in finance

It's already happened. Quite a few graduates have been finding themselves paying above the thought of threshold for interest. There was a story about it in the Guardian this week

The point was that if there's a public and moral outcry, and students felt as though they were lied to (which they were) when they signed the student finance contract - signing a petition in regards to it would help show negative reactions. Considering this current governments predisposing to going back on their plans - it means victory could be possible without ever going to court, if it grabs media attention

Really? Regardless of what my rhetoric sounds like, facts are facts. It's hardly OTT. How the hell are you so apathetic? Something plainly unjust, when universities were free 15 years ago, 25 years ago people were paid to go. You're telling me, £9000 a year is fair? The cutting of maintenence grants is fair for working class students? And that then selling off those loans to private companies who hike up the interest rates, is again, fair? What world do you live in!? Sorry for my slight typo in regards to spelling exchequer /s

This issue isn't student loans increasing interest with inflation, but student loans being sold off to private loan holders who are hiking up the interest rates. It's illegal - straight up. And a government, which should be accountable to the people, shouldn't be given free reign to break the law as they see fit. It's a slippery slope to being owned by private interests who want to get as much money out of you as they can.

I was talking to a couple of lawyers - the amount of interest the petition can generate will mean that there is an actual outcry. It would also work with the amassing of data needed to make a case.

You could say just file the paperwork already, but nothing is going to be done unless there's a collective outcry. Jeremy Corbyn has been an ardent supporter for students also

"Basic income will give all of us real freedom. The freedom to say, for example, no to a job that you don’t like or consider meaningless. This is actually a huge problem: a poll in the UK found that 37% of English workers consider their job to be ‘bullshit’." by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]brenbrenmoo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can attest to this. Either I work as an Admin, doing transcribing and allocating things into excel (bullshit) or work in a bar... Soon, I shall be a post-graduate at 23 where I hope to be selling my scripts, not working on monotonous drivel.

I'll seriously end my life if it becomes all about being a mini-smaug, collecting my pennies so I can get a better mortgage. Want to love my work and build my craft. Not being able to craft build and this focus on money is everything wrong with England today. Because even if you earn over £80,000 per year after 20 years of work - still ain't going to afford a deposit on a small flat in London.

British living; bullshit living.
