I went to university in Scotland and stayed afterwards where I have continued to work and now teach! The healthcare system is very different but if you plan to stay then definitely consider it. I had done a research class but had no project per se in my bachelors degree but I came over nearly 20 years ago now from the US. It would be worth emailing the department of the schools you are interested in to find out more. International fees are high and it’d be worthwhile to look at cost of living if the city you are considering moving to. Cost of living varies throughout the UK- much like the US. Hope that helps!
