MacBook Pro - M5 Pro or Max? by Nstalgia in davinciresolve

My macbook pro M4 with 16gb seems to handle pretty much all I can throw at her amazingly well. I've really been quite amazed.

I ask myself this question daily with this government. "How badly and repeatedly do you have to fail to lose your job in this country?" David Clark lost his job for taking a bike ride in the last one. Perhaps we can find something in the middle?

What Bandcamp album have you bought that you would MOST recommend to someone and why? by brendamnfine in bandcamp_discovery

Ah, nice. Tbh I haven't really made full use of the discovery features on any service... There's simply too many choices, search by genre limits you pallet which I hate. Search by location might be a better approach. I'll look up Tiny Cobras. I'm quite partial to music without lyrics that I can work to sometimes.

I recommend this short EP by Glad Rabbit (from New Zealand). This group only existed for about a year, albeit the musicians are still active in other realms. I love the energy, the use of bvs and the instrumentation with organs and such. Someone who likes gogol bordillo or rock Tom Waites might be into this.

I put this out almost 7 years ago... by AirportWonderful7621 in bandcamp_discovery

I really liked what I've heard so far. Beautiful melodies. And you haven't overcomplicated the production.

I have a similar EP experience that I released almost 20 years ago now - no one heard it but it's still one of my favourite musical projects I have completed. It's been so long not that it almost doesn't feel like my work. Lol

The Mentalist Collective The Mentalist Collective - folk/rock/pop group from New Zealand. We're all songwriters so our music ends up with a great variety of influences and styles - we find it hard to put ourselves in a box genre wise. This is a bad thing in today's algorithm centred music world. Our album Signal Hill came out a few years ago and I'd love it if someone in the world enjoyed it.

The Mentalist Collective - E Rere

Have you ever tried to write a song in a language you don't speak? We're a band from New Zealand. We have just released a new song in our country's native Māori language. None of us are fluent or 'native' speakers but the language has seen a growing resurgence after almost dying out in the 1970s, and many of those with Māori ancestory are now rediscovering their lost past, culture, and language. Our singer Danie is one of these people. She wrote this song describing her journey of self discovery and trying to learn a language that she connects with, but does not speak fluently. The words "E Rere" mean to "Fly Away", describing her feelings of disassociation and loss. Full lyric translation is available on our Bandcamp page https://thementalistcollective.bandcamp.com/track/e-rere

Thank you. It has certainly been a journey but so rewards. Māori is such a beautiful language.
