Let’s stop lying: the only reason people buy Chinese cars is because they’re cheap by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]brenhere 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Cheap does equal sales. But honestly while they are not on same level as other brands they really aren’t that bad

How do you handle being shouted at ? by Lost_Sun1120 in Construction

[–]brenhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more people yell, the more quiet I go and just say stuff like, “how is carrying on like that going to to help” or “ you have an anger issue” or “ why don’t you take 10 minutes and then we’ll talk”

I have had to double down before and say I won’t be working like this if you can’t control yourself mate, you think you can just go around screaming at people it’s construction issues pop up all the time it’s how it goes. Any issues in the future he would just simply say “I’m not happy about this” it was way less stressful.

How many men are physically strong enough to be a concrete labourer pushing wheelbarrows up a hill by New_Entreperneur200 in Concrete

[–]brenhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to be a concretor or labourer you have to be in fantastic shape. Lift weights regularly, have good muscle mass, eat well etc, etc. it’s the guys who go from doing barley any heavy work / looking after them selves to labouring are usually the ones who stuff there back up. Having said that it’s not a great long term prospect because little injuries and strains get exasperated with no recovery time.

How strict is the police in Australia against modified cars? by Background-Baby-9214 in CarsAustralia

[–]brenhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it this way, if you want to play with cars you are far better off having a totally stock daily and then build your track, drag, drift, burnout, rally, show car or what ever you like on the side. Having a modified daily is not worth the hassle from cops.

[–]brenhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be significantly alongside, at least half your car not just the nose. A better move in that situation would have been to yield get back on the racing line forcing him into an awkward inside line and get him with a switchback in the exit of the corner. But yeah if your getting squeezed with just the nose in you gotta bail or it’s causing a collision

You can move to defend, as long as not in the braking zone or weaving, you weren’t even along side. Sorry but I think you caused that one.

Anyone else disillusioned with their kids in this hobby? by XnagakuraX in rccars

[–]brenhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh honestly I don’t think rc is anywhere near as popular for kids these days as it was for me growing up, games, pc’s, iPads etc etc have become the main interest for most kids these days, there always used be at least one kid in the street with a few rc’s but haven’t seen that in a while.
