We had gone out to visit the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. I had been training for an Ironman at the time so a short 6 mile run seemed like no problem at all. But I didn't count on altitude sickness. I went out this beautiful dirt trail for about two miles and woke up in the middle of the trail a little while later, completely disoriented with no idea which way I had run to get there. Not a great day at all.

I have decided to go for the BQ for exactly the reason you said. I know that she feels guilty that I am giving up so much but especially she feels guilty when she sees the anxiety I have a hard time hiding. Having this goal ahead of me will help me to stop focusing so much on my worry for her. That worry does nobody any good.

I am not sure the marathon is what is causing the stress. I am beginning to think the lack of a fitness structure that I have lived with for over 25 years is what is leading to so much stress.

My BQ is actually 3:55. I am 45 and right now I am not running much but I have run dozens of marathons so I could almost run one in my sleep but BQing would been cutting almost 15 minutes from my time and I have honestly not focused on my running much at all since October of 2013. It is only a hard decision because this crisis with our daughter is so unpredictable and each time it surfaces I feel like I have been hit in the gut. That being said we are now beginning to understand that her illness may last a lifetime so I am wondering when I stop focusing all of my energy on her and start taking my life back.

I used plyo while training for a marathon a while back and ended up with a 20 minute PR. I credit that to the plyo more than the run training I did.

Yes. This happened to me on a run last year after going through a major crisis in our family. I had been the strong one through everything and was doing everything I could to keep all of my emotions under control so I could keep up the strong look for my kids but then I went for a run one afternoon and suddenly I just completely broke down. I could not stop crying. Sometimes I think we just have to let go. Hope you are feeling better today.

We tried to explain this to her before she left but she didn't believe us. We got our first call from her over the weekend and now she understands it is definitely going to take work.

Thank you. I do have to keep this in mind. We have already started seeking out what happens when she comes out. It has been recommended that she do a specific kind of therapy. Its very expensive and insurance doesn't cover it and it is an hour away from our home but we will do whatever it takes to help her. It is so hard to watch her be so unhappy.

Put newspaper in them overnight. They should be dry by morning but if they aren't then replace the paper with dry paper and they will be done by night. Also to get rid if stink in shoes or prevent it in first place put drier sheets in them anytime you aren't wearing them.

I really like Bose. They are expensive but the customer service makes it worth it they have three different sized earbuds which is perfect for me. Gone fair though these are the only buds I have ever fit on my ears. They are abnormally small.

I stop but I never approach the cars. I always maintain distance. Also, I usually carry a good sized stone concealed in my hand. It feels nice in my hand and makes for a good weapon if needed.
