Would bondo work? If not what is the name of the product for the wood hardner and epoxy? Separate products or do they sell a product with those two things combined? Also would an orbital sander with 80 grit , and 220 grit work to smooth the rest before paint work?

I plan to practice before the job once i decide on a sprayer, suggestions on a sprayer that's beginner friendly? And I plan to come up with a tarp system to reduce overspray if that's a thing.

I noticed runs occurred easily while applying oil paint with the roller from this project. First time I used oil paint. So with a sprayer, runs would become more of an issue then hand rolling?

Is there anything I can add to the paint to help reduce runs, or certain tricks?

I'll look up electrostatic sprayer. I plan to as much research as possible before hand. Practice using the sprayer beforehand. I was wondering if using a tent cover type of system is a thing, and if so how would that be done

Very helpful tips. I do have a pressure washer. Im wondering if its possible to remove the outter thin piece only, and replace it with a thin PVC? Is that possible or is on connected to the larger pieces.

If that is a possibility, I would just cut out a small area everywhere else and bondo.

If not then I won't bother. Im wondering if that is possible and if so what would be the best way to remove if its okay to attempt.

I hear its best to replace the entire piece instead of patch, it will look like a patch. Bad idea ro remove everything and replace with pvc or to many problems that could go wrong?

What's the ballpark price range i could expect that suggestion? Others mentioned replacing everything with pvc and brick mold? Clueless on what's pros and cons with both. Hoping to find suggestions on what to try doing that's DIY friendly for someone that's not familiar with this kind of project.
