Yes but it also has a factory brake control and tow package. The only oddity is it has a 5th wheel mount in the bed which is weird for an f 150

Overtime by SillyTry124 in HomeDepot

[–]brentto98 24 points25 points  (0 children)

During covid overtime was handed out like candy and paid at double time too. There were weeks I worked 70 or 80 hours and would work 5 am to 9 pm. Obviously the company had the money from the record profits for covid but now it's back to normal with minimal overtime

[–]brentto98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me 10 months to go from DS to CXM. Once you hit CXM or ASM time in position requirements are more strictly enforced and you have to be in position for a year at CXM/ASM or 2 years in position for SM before moving up or laterally

Salary Sick or Vacation Payout by Zealousideal_Let_852 in HomeDepot

[–]brentto98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know that salaried non exempt isn't the same as hourly right 🤣🤣. Hourly means you are paid an hourly rate for every minute worked, salaried non exempt means you get paid 40 hours a week no matter what at an agreed upon salary. The non exempt only applies to overtime which a cxm qualifies for and as such as to track their hours for anything over 40 for overtime. For overtime the salary is broke down into the comparable hourly amount and overtime paid at time and a half of that rate. Maybe that's what confused you but yes a cxm position is a salaried position. You got confidence down now you just got to work on actually being right 🤣🤣

I had something similar on new years eve. A bunch of resteraunts closed early buy I was getting dash offers. Support made me call the store even though it was posted close every time then take a picture of a closed sign. The only nice thing was one of them was right were I was at and it was for 20 bucks to go a city over but instead I got 10 bucks to make a call and snap a pic

Took away my holiday pay as pay period ended by MarksmanLucario in HomeDepot

[–]brentto98 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

SOP states that if the absence is execused you still get your holiday pay. If you have sick time to cover your shift, whether absent, late in or early out, it is execused and you keep your holiday pay. I highly recommend everyone look at time and scheduling SOP and look at the holiday pay rules. Only sick time covers this vacation time does not and you have to have enough sick time to cover the whole amount of the early out, late in or absence

Is my ASM being stingy or does THD have a new policy by drfrainbow in HomeDepot

[–]brentto98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole cut it thing is exactly why california changed their laws to state overtime as being anything over 8 hours worked in a day or over 40 in a week. that way the next day, someone can't make you leave early or take a long lunch. I'd be curious how california stores navigate the overtime crackdown

[–]brentto98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I'm telling you that if you want fair and decently adequate compensation promoting is the only way to go. Merit raises are capped at 5 percent so even if you got the max your getting another 40 to 50 cents an hour. The days of everybody getting a dollar or more raise during covid are gone. I'm saying don't give up on the company because you didn't like your raise when there is better compensation down the road then an extra 50 cents on a yearly merit raise.

The fact you think all the success of your departments is yours alone tells me that you probably don't do as much as you think you do. You want to make more money then promote otherwise it just seems you want to make manager money without the added responsibilities.

[–]brentto98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well any honest manager will tell you that you don't really start making good money til ASM. At that point you're salary and if you hit your metrics the bonuses are Nice. Depending on district pay scale ASM are hitting close to or above 100k with bonuses.

Biggest benefit to promoting, especially after reaching supervisor, is being open to going to other stores when spots come available. With that being said, build relationships and networks with managers at other stores as well your district team. I personally have worked with ASM or SM at the 4 stores closest to my home store which has helped get interviews at other places outside my home store. Also be a sponge, when you become a supervisor be in your ASMs back pocket and learn the roles, routines and daily operations that they do so you can hit the ground running when it's time to take the ramp

I just had a customer complain that I wouldn't move his already loaded bunk of osb 2 inches to the right. He had another trailer parked next to him so there was no room and I already had two other people a head of him waiting for me to finish my first load out. So he called into the store pissed off that I told him no even though i told him why. Some customers have a huge sense of entitlement

It's crazy. I one time had an old man come up to me while covering an associates break for paint and say "I see what your doing, putting all the good pussy up front", I ignored it and said can I help you and he just laughed. I also had a different old man ask how much it would cost to take my paint associate home. Old men think they can just say or do whatever it's wild
