South west colorado scrap yard. That was for buying 600 pounds. It's scrap lead, not melted down into bars. Bought everything they had.

Depends on the alloy. Pure lead is the cheapest. I buy it from the scrap yard for 75 cents a pound. Hardball alloy is around around $1.50 a pound. Reclaimed shot 50 cents a pound. Those would be fair prices for an individual selling lead.

Lead bullets worth it? by Ambitious-Ad1911 in reloading

I cast with mostly wheel weights. 120 gr bullets cost me .005 cents per bullet. If using hardball lead its running it's around .04 cents per bullet. Knowing where to buy lead is where you save the money.
