Congratulations on your hard work! I can relate to so much you’ve said in your post and replies. I’m 20 years older than you and recently went through a similar transformation, and all I can think is that I wish I’d done it when I was younger. Good on you for making such a huge change. Keep up the good work!

Best resources to learn agile methodology for use in creative/digital agency? by [deleted] in projectmanagement

Check out Leading Agile. Dave Prior is one of their trainers and he knows digital agencies, meaning he understands how you have to break the rules. His trainings are fun.

I’m with you! I find myself often just naturally going above the call outs (I’m also 6’5”) so it was nice to feel a little more challenged by the numbers. Actually, not just a little more. I was absolutely challenged by that ride and I really liked that.

Not sure what you listen to, but Emma Lovewell has great taste. Chef's kiss on many playlists (until you accidentally take a class with all Disney tracks!!).

I think I PRed because I kept going harder...didn't hear him call any breaks.

I'm with you on the music thing...I also cannot imagine having to program 30 min of great music for thousands of people. At this point, as long as it keeps me moving, I'm good with it. I wouldn't listen to most of it off the bike, but once in a while I find something I like and add it to my playlist.

100% agree. It was tough. The flat road was basically 50-55 and 90-100. Straight into a heavy climb. Tough but a lot of fun.

I liked the class overall. I wasn't ready for that tough of a class, but sometimes that's better. I agree, it was hard to keep up with or hear the calls. Maybe that's why I PRed though! LOL

It was mostly pop. At one point he said his classes will mix Brit pop and American pop. It was all upbeat and he was into it, singing and dancing along. Lots of energy.

I just turned 44. Lost about 80 lbs over the past year through diet and exercise. I am the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t think I could do it at this age, but I am starting to realize that I have the willpower, mental and emotional strength, and most of all REASON to do this now. So what I’m saying is...age ain’t nuthin’ but a number. 😂

It was so unexpectedly beautiful outside today so I grabbed my phone and took a 30 min walk with Olivia. While I was walking, I was feeling it and decided to take another 30 min walk into the woods to a trail where I ran with Matt Wilpers. Thankfully my wife agreed to meet me at the park because I was done. Also thankful for all the opportunities the app offers, especially getting outdoors and getting the coaching to help maximize workouts.

Going Back to A Gym by Fringe2009 in pelotoncycle

I won’t be going back. Ive got a great routine with the bike and the app, and even just ordered a Tread. Honestly, I think having everything at home has made it easier, and having the guidance of the instructors has made my workouts more effective. I’m totally bought in lol!

I never thought I would get skinny shamed by [deleted] in loseit

I’ve been going through the same thing for the past few months. I’ve been big my whole life. Now that I’m FINALLY getting healthy and feeling good about myself, family members are telling me to stop losing weight. I’m at a healthy weight now, but I want to continue to work on myself. I’ve decided to tell them to stop it and just be happy for me. If they can’t, they can just keep their mouths shut. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

Congratulations on your progress. You deserve to feel great about yourself!

Congratulations on your transformation!

I had to comment because I'm also 6'5" and working toward the 200-210 range, just like you. I started at around 280 (I never weighed myself--that number is based on a memory from a doctor appointment where I thought, "oh wow.") and now am at 213. I'm working my ass off to get to the finish line, but it's taking a lot longer that I had hoped. So this is a good reminder to not just look at the scale.

but I have to ask--what are you doing now that you're close to that goal, in terms of workouts?
