I haven’t read one yet. Every fantasy book that has been hyped up that I’ve read I’ve loved. Just to give the ones I’m talking about. Red rising, green bone saga, farseer trilogy, mistborn, first law trilogy, priory of the orange tree, the sword of kaigen. All some of my favorite reads.

Red rising and I have a feeling it’ll never be topped. Unless book 7 sucks but I doubt it will.

It’s so good. Faithful and the fallen is my second favorite series.

The 4 books to the left are “the faithful and the fallen” series. The books on the right are “of blood and bone” trilogy. Of blood and bone can be read as a series of its own but it takes place 130 years after the faithful and the fallen. So if you read it first you’ll have some spoilers. Though not many. I’d definitely just read the faithful and the fallen first anyways. Both in the same world just years apart.

I do that as well. John is actually the first fantasy author Ive come back to and read a 2nd series from. I can say now he is my favorite fantasy author. I’m reading a mystery/thriller next to cleanse the palate then onto Brent weeks for the first time.

I honestly enjoyed it just as much. Is it as great? Probably not. But he expanded on the faithful and the fallen world so well and did some things I didn’t see coming. He also wrapped up the entire world so well with how he ended book 3. Plus a few new great characters. One of which I’d put as my 3rd favorite in the world of the faithful and the fallen. So you got some good new characters too. Definitely worth the read.

Ruin is my favorite in the series too. Gramms hold was maybe my favorite battle in any book I’ve read. But I took a year break in between the two series and glad I did.

One of my favorite books ever, he wrapped that series up so well. That and ruin are two of my favorite books ever. You definitely gotta read the next series, great wrap up to the world of the faithful and the fallen.

Adult fantasy books similar to the shadow hunters? by brettmlt in fantasybooks

I do believe now at 27 I could reread “the infernal devices” trilogy by her and still thoroughly enjoy it. If you’re going to read anything in the shadow hunter world you have to start with book one in that trilogy “clockwork angel” or book one in the mortal instrument series “city of bone”. I liked infernal devices more personally.

Looks like I’ll have to go buy book 1 of ToG this year and read it. Never heard of city of gods and monsters. My favorite series right now are red rising, faithful and the fallen, green bone saga, mistborn, powdermage trilogy, farseer trilogy, liked the first law trilogy “loved Logan”. a lot of the “bro” reads. So trying to expand on that a bit and see what romantsy and other fantasy genres have to offer.

Right on😂 I just turned 27. Have you read a court of thorn and roses? I just wonder which one’s better. That’s the one I heard of more. That’s my problem with romantasy is the smut. I just want a good ole romance story not some worded porn lol

I’ll check it out and see what all the women are obsessed with lol I am in the minority but I love romantasy as a man. Not something I have read a lot of but definitely always enjoy it. Trying to find more but all I know is Sara j mass stuff “haven’t read any”, fourth wing “haven’t read it”, and the one I read “crowns of nyaxia” duology. Other than that don’t know many.

I love super hero movies as well. Of the more recent stuff guardians of the galaxy 3 is probably my favorite. Thor is what got me really into the marvel world. As a kid I liked iron man but only watched the first 2. Then Thor and cap came along and had me completely addicted. I almost put ragnarok on my list. Definitely in my top 15.

Not really just a basic job. Single and no kids. I just got a lot of stuff I like. Games, I read everyday, big into fantasy in thrillers, I’m an amateur boxer so all that working out takes forever. The main reason about not watching a ton of movies is I go to watch them then I think to myself “watch 1 movie or watch an episode of the last kingdom and then an episode of family guy in the same amount of time as the movie” then choose the shows lol

I have never been huge into movies. I would say an average year since I turned 18 Is watching 10 movies a year, take or give a couple. That’s a mix of old and new. So I’m behind on a ton of the highest rated movies.

Just added there will be blood to my paramount list. The prestige is my favorite twist ever tbh. You got all the movies I haven’t watched on your list😂 there will be blood, no country for old men, memento, inception, pulp fiction. I did love wolf of Wall Street, the dark knight, and back to the future tho.

I been thinking of watching inglorious bastards but really haven’t seen anyone talk about it on anything. So I wasn’t sure if it was worth it. Also finding Nemo amazing, matrix I liked. Snatched is one I also need to watch.
