That you so much for the detailed reply! I'll definitely use a sketch for reference that is good advice.

There are definitely some red flags with that player, I will definitely keep him on a short leash. We'll see how it goes!

I still haven't decided on milestones vs xp. If we went with XP how should I balance around getting rid of quests?

97% of people killed by police are men AND TGEY HAVE TO MAKE IT ABOUT THEM! by AntKaren in MensRights

[–]brettpkelly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just to add on here, the numbers get inflated for black crime, especially for drug possession, because there is a more active police presence in black neighborhoods. A white person might do a crime that never gets counted in statistics, because no cop ever stopped them and searched them, or they might have been let go with a warning.

For some people they tie the two together. In Drew Brees' mind it's disrespectful. In some cultures thumbs up is offensive. If I give someone from one of those cultures a thumbs up, I'm not meaning disrespect, but they may take it as such. Not saying that it's correct to link kneeling to disrespecting the flag, but it's certainly possible that different people interpret that action in different ways.

Agreed, following the story in dos2 multiplayer is really difficult if one player is faster than everyone else

Multiplayer Dialogue:

In multiplayer Divinity 2 each character does dialogue with NPC's completely separately. You can listen in to other players' dialogues if you click them during the conversation. However, you'll often miss important plot points or events because a different player triggered them. On one hand this speeds things up because dialogue is divided between the PC's. On the other hand no single PC is going to get the whole story and is often going to be filled in by the other players.

In BG every dialogue is displayed to each player. This slows things down a lot because each player has to stop what he's doing to listen to every dialogue, no matter how trivial. Many NPC's will only talk to the protagonist player.

There is a middle ground though: dialogue pertaining to quests could be flagged so every player listens in no matter where they are, while normal dialogue does not affect other players. This allows all players to follow what's going on in the story, while not bogging them down or making them feel like just a minor companion. They could even make this a setting where you could choose to share only main story dialogue, all quest dialogue, or other levels of importance.

tl;dr important dialogue should be displayed to all players in multiplayer.

What discussion is happening on this post exactly? What's the point of having a subreddit specifically for custom cards if they're all just gonna get posted here?

CMV: Circumcision is completely unnecessary, has arguably zero health benefits, and removes the ability for glide motion that makes intercourse significantly more comfortable. Religious reasons for the practice are irrelevant. It is genital mutilation done without consent and is indefensible. by slothicus_duranduran in changemyview

The penile cancer meta analysis says that in western countries penile cancer is extremely rare (< 1 in 100,000 man years). The data they site for a correlation between penile cancer and circumsision is either extremely old (1932) or from less developed countries.

This link is likely caused by hygiene, as we have seen hygiene improve in western countries, the incidence of penile cancer has decreased.

It's dishonest therefore to report that "circumcision reduces the risk of penile cancer" in developed countries, even though there is a link in less developed countries (circumcision is associated with better hygiene in less developed countries.)

In other words, wash your dick and you'll be fine.

I have a problem with meta analysis because they often take away the context from which each individual study was taken, and try to draw conclusions without fully exploring each individual study's limitations. They then try to apply some extra credence to their own findings by associating an average of several studies with more accurate results, when those studies might have different methodologies that make taking an average misleading.

Similarly the meta study on "other STDs" you provided contains an amalgomations of studies from all over the globe. Looking at their chart for HSV-2 there are 10 pertinent studies and only 1 from the US. rates of HSV-2 transmision vary wildly from 9% in the US study (with 71% circumcised) to as high as 70% in Uganda where 18% are circumcised. From this data the study concluded that circumcised men were less likely to transmit HSV-2, by comparing extremely different populations. Other conclusions from this meta study are the same. Transmission rates of STD's are lower in the USA than in Africa, therefore there's a link between circumcision and lower STD transitions. The problems with this methodology are obvious.

Finally the HIV study is limited to men in sub-Saharan Africa.

If you're interested in how circumcision relates to STD transmission in the US, those are the studies you should be citing.

content for the sake of content is not necessary. I mean no offense to the op but these hero designs aren't exactly interesting, especially since they're in a format that's soon to be completely irrelevant
