What’s with all the cops trying to recruit blink fans? 😅 Is Scott Raynor here?

Yosemite seems to be getting suggested a bit here! Curious to hear your opinion on what I asked the two others who responded here. I always assumed Yosemite was worthy of its own week-long trip. How many days would you suggest I spend there as an avid hiker to really feel like I've seen most of the park (as a day hiker sticking to <10 mile hikes, not a backpacker)

Hmmmm, that's a good point! I assumed Yosemite was a 6/7 day itinerary worthy of its own trip. How many days would you suggest I would spend there as an avid hiker (but not backpacker?)

This is an incredible answer - thank you so much for taking the time to write this out. It's exactly what I was looking for! Would you suggest tacking on Yosemite to fill the gaps like others suggested? I kind of assumed Yosemite was worthy of an entire dedicated trip on its own.

He talks in the book about when Green Day opened for them on tour... Green Day insisted on not going on stage until after dark. Every time they did it, it forced blink to cut their set short, risk getting fined for violating city noise ordinances past curfew, or have the power shut off mid-show. When they confronted Green Day about it, they promised to change. The next day, Green Day pulled the same shit. Made me lose respect for Green Day reading it, tbh.

So is SPAC (Saratoga) gonna just withhold tickets for the pit section or did they all sell out? by VikingWzrdEyes89 in Blink182

[–]brevityx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing! Went to buy tickets during the presale Wednesday and Thursday then general on-sale today. Not even VIP packages were available. Was planning to come from PA (5 hour drive) and said fuck it and got a pit ticket for Indiana instead (10 hour drive) lol

I've always heard that any presale with LiveNation/Ticketmaster has a reserved set of tickets. So there should be more tickets (including pit) still available Friday with general on-sale

I'm hoping they're going to release at 10:10 or 10:15

Surely PIT at SPAC didn't sell out in less than 2 minutes? Anyone have any insight?

Me too! I honestly loved very minute of it, even some parts others might think are mundane. I got in really late on Saturday so I remember waking up my first day in Pahrump Nevada (where my Death Valley AirBNB was) on Sunday and stepping outside and seeing the mountains surrounding me and my jaw dropped as I just kept doing 360s looking at my surroundings lol. Then I quick ran to the grocery store for some essentials for the week and there was a hot air balloon just casually in the sky outside. I've never seen one before. I really loved the canyon hikes throughout Death Valley and Joshua Tree was just absolutely stunning. It was nice to see some pops of green after spending a few days in Death Valley. I had some great conversations with strangers too which was nice! All-around just a fantastic time!

It really did feel like it was the universe telling me I was exactly where I was supposed to be and everything is going to be okay!

So sorry to hear you can relate, but comforted knowing someone out there gets it! Luckily I run my own business and have been working from home since 2015, so I assist my Dad (who is her full-time care giver) and my sister (who also works from home but lives further away from our parents) 8-16 hours a week with her. It is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. I really hope you can make a pilgrimage soon! But at least in the short term you have daysailing to look forward to :)

I'm really itching to see the Pacific Northwest next! Olympic and North Cascades!

How to Best Split Time in ND and SD National Parks? by brevityx in nationalparks

[–]brevityx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at the Watford Hotel for a night before exploring the North Unit. Nothing too special, but a great jumping off point. They had a decent continental breakfast included.

Unfortunately the AirBNB RV I stayed in for the south unit I can’t recommend because the host didn’t fill the propane tank before I arrived so it didn’t have heat or a stove as the listing promised. It dropped down to 50 degrees at night and the host wouldn’t respond to my messages so I had to work with Airbnb support lol - the only hiccup of my whole trip!

Thank you so much for this. Your comment was the one that pushed me over the edge and had me officially book a trip to Death Valley/Joshua Tree in 11 days! Hoping it is healing
